About this product
Scouting for Girls' unforgettable pop anthems such as 'She's So Lovely', 'This Ain't a Love Song' and 'Heartbeat' set them on a path to phenomenal success which included four Top 10 singles, four Top 10 albums, 2 million sales and more than a billion streams - plus four BRIT Awards and an Ivor Novello. After so many highlights, the trio questioned where to go next as they planned their seventh studio album. The solution? To return to their roots back when they were three unknown musicians in Ruislip, West London and reconnect with the reasons that they started a band in the first place. As a result, Scouting for Girls are back to their best with their new album 'The Place We Used to Meet'.

![Robert Ridgell - Choral Music of Robert Moran - COMPACT DISCS [CD]](https://pisces.bbystatic.com/image2/BestBuy_US/images/products/0e246127-4ac4-4e5d-9c35-6dc2e6e6c7c5.jpg;maxHeight=422;maxWidth=264?format=webp)
Moran was commissioned by Trinity Wall Street (the 'Ground Zero' church) to write a Requiem for their youth chorus to commemorate the 10th anniversary of September 11, 2001. The result is a heartfelt and heavenly work for angelic voices with organ, harps and cellos. It's simplicity and direct appeal rival that of Faure himself and it is sure to become a standard repertory work. While many of the singers were barely born at the time of the attacks in New York, the composer found inspiration in the all-too common grief found in war zones around the world (such as Kosovo and London) when children suddenly lose their families to violence. Listeners will note the synchronicity recorded on tape during the Offertory; a siren passed by during the best vocal take and could not be edited out. It becomes a touching reminder of the context of this work and the personal authenticity of these fine musicians.

The chart-topping, multi-Platinum selling Scouting for Girls return with their new album 'These Are The Good Days' on March 27 2026. It follows the 2023 'The Place We Used To Meet' which became their highest-charting album in eight years. The trio behind mega-hits 'This Ain't A Love Song' (#1), 'She's So Lovely' (#7), 'Elvis Ain't Dead' (#8) and 'Heartbeat' (#10) still command a huge, loyal following as evidenced by the majority of their March 2026 headline tour already being sold-out. The album was entirely written and produced by Roy Stride, and recorded between studios in California, Dublin and the UK with fellow founding members and lifelong friends Greg Churchouse (bass) and Pete Ellard (drums). The album is lifted by the addition of touring guitarist Connor McDonald (James Morrison, George Ezra), whose Clapton-esque playing brings a new musical depth to the band. Most of the record was also mixed by Roy, with the remainder completed by Matt Bishop (Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran)
