Customer Ratings & Reviews

It is kinda hard to review these little black boxes with a disk big hard disk inside. The black exterior has a bit of texturing that may help disperse heat well, There's a barely visible silver swoosh of a logo, but I guess that's part of the plan it is supposed to just sit unnoticed at the end of it's 50cm cord and do it's job. The job is done inside but the only evidence is little white hint of an LED that tells you something is going on. Oh, there's also a slight hum that you can't hear but can just barely feel through your fingertips. It comes pre-formatted ready to use. All that's necessary (but optional) is to use your computer's Disk Management to assign it the drive letter and name that makes it unique on your system. My only quibble is that the cord uses that USB 3.0 Micro-B style connector with a USB-A on the other end. That standard (across the drive makers) seems a bit archaic since the devices we attach them to are clearly moving from USB-A to USB-C. This item replaced a similar one that failed. In my experience these small drives are excellent, but do have a limited lifetime. They are fine for backup, but should not be the only backup. Monitor it and preserve your data elsewhere at the first sign of trouble -- before you need to use the included data recovery insurance.

I bought this in a pinch so I could make room on my Umidigi G1 Mini Tab for all of the Diablo Immortals assets that I need to download. I was unaware that I would have to purchase a separate connecter cable due to the incompatibility of the cord that comes with the external hard drive (which is my bad). The portable hard drive quality itself is about as sturdy as it can get, and is compact enough to take along with you no matter where you go. Pray to God I won't have to, but if I needed to buy again I would give this a 10/10 rating.

Wow! 5TB is so much space; I’m not sure why I bought two, then I realized they came with a two month trial of adobe Creative Cloud & I was sure I made the right move. One for professional use & one for my passion projects. Sometimes my laptop doesn’t recognize the device right away, but that might be on my laptop. Anyway, good stuff. (Please note I added the label myself.)

Great drive. efficient and small. Very capable and LOTS of room

I find it’s really good and it’s a better alternative to buying it on the actual PS5 website. It’s a lot cheaper and if you have a lot of games like me, and no space, you should definitely get this product.

The Seagate hard drive has been a lifesaver for my business! After purchasing several SD cards and constantly needing additional storage space, this hard drive was the answer!! My best investment

I bought the 5000 version twice, first on sale to extend my storage on my PC. I was so happy I wished I had done the 10000/15000 at the time but it works very well for now and likely for the next few years—I have a lot more games and spend a lot less time thinking about what games I want to keep on my PC at the moment vs what games I’d like to have in general. I liked it so much and saw it would be compatible with my PS4 so I bought another one. It’s great for the same reasons, I suggest my friends purchase this if they dont already have an extended hard drive & if they can afford it—but now it’s even more affordable than when I bought it (both times)!

Works really well with my MacBook Air Pro and holds a lot of space

Have bought a few of these over the years and they’ve never failed for their excellent pricing and storage space.

Great buy works great and performs very well, I’ve used it extensively and it has done me good, I am going to invest in another one soon.

The hard drive itself works perfectly so far—fast transfer speeds, easy setup, and plenty of storage for my files and backups. I was able to start using it within minutes of plugging it in. It feels solid and reliable, which is exactly what I was looking for.

Intuitive software that’s included makes this easy for backing up your computer. Good size makes it great for storing your photos, videos and other cherished memories.

Nice and sleek model. Transfer rate is good for the price of product.

The goods is good and service is the best.the price is better than other merchandise.

I recently purchased this external hard drive and have been very pleased with its overall performance and ease of use. The design is sleek and compact, making it easy to keep on my desk without taking up much space. It feels solid and well-built. Setup was truly plug-and-play. I connected it using the included USB cable, and it was recognized immediately by my computer without needing to install any additional software. Transferring files has been smooth and consistent. I primarily use it for backing up large folders of photos, videos, and documents, and the storage capacity provides more than enough space for my needs. File transfer speeds have been reliable for a traditional hard drive. While it’s not as fast as an SSD, it performs exactly as expected for bulk storage and backups. I also appreciate how quietly it runs during operation. Overall, this has been a dependable and straightforward storage solution. I would recommend it to anyone looking for high-capacity external storage that is simple to set up and easy to use.

I needed a second backup with a lot of storage. The Seagate is wonderful for the job. It works on my iMac and with Time Machine, I was able to back up my original iMac and then transfer everything to my new iMac with ease. Quick and Painless. Good product.

I purchased this drive to replace 1 TB drive that was failing. This is half the size and 5 times the storage capacity, at a very reasonable proce, and so far has worked flawlessly.

I had the 2TB model of this drive and I love it so much that when I needed additional space, getting the 5TB model was a no-brainer. While this version is about 1.5x the height of the 2TB model, it is still extremely compact and easy to carry with my laptop. I use this drive with a mac and it's seamless to transfer large amounts of data back and forth. Does everything you would want an external drive to do.

Works fine. Looks good. Compact and lightweight, about the size of a cell phone. Plug-n-play.

works well, given as a gift, easy to use, nice size
