I purchased this for two reasons. #1 seagate reputation. I have used this brand for years and virtually all my HD's are Seagate. I am particularly empressed by their Ironwolf line. the second reason is I needed to change my NAS enclosure to raid 2 so i have redundant back up should one drive fail I dont loose everything. I previously had raid 0 which gave me more capacity but no backup if a drive should fail. I highly recomend Seagate drives in general but if your building a NAS setup go with Ironwolf. If u need just a plane hard drive then Barracuda line is sufficient enough

Big capacity, good price, good brand and very quiet

I have been using this drive for a NAS and it has been running constantly for weeks as I transfer data with no issues at all. Much better that most other brands I have used. A little noisy compared to the 4TB I had, but minimum.

Hard drive works great and is very nice. No problems with it. Would highly recommend!

i got an awesome deal on pricematch from Bestbuy. HDD is really for a home NAS

I like this drive a little better than the WD because its faster and quiter.

Got 4 of these for the 4 bay NAS drive. Easy to install and configure. no issues.
