8ft Towering Skeleton with posable arms, moving jaw, creepy sounds plug in with volume control off (TRY ME) on

  • Animation: Posable arms combined with SVI's trademarked Digieyes makes this skeleton one of the spookiest décor pieces around.

Q: Wasn't this $100 less a few days ago?

A: Yes, I think it was in a Labor Day sale for $279

Q: Please put this back on sale. Although it’s really cool. It’s not worth $349. Depot you can get a 12 foot version for 299.

A: HD is constantly sold out. People are buying them and reselling for 3-4× the price. I'd buy this one if you have the chance. Not likely to find a 12ft one less than $400.

Q: Has anyone got this wet? What happens? If you can’t get it wet, is it easy to move? Would a tarp do the trick?

A: We’ve had ours less than a week, it rained the past two days and it no longer works. So apparently not for truly outdoors. Ours is partially under cover (the plug in area is under cover) but lots of moisture was evident anyway). Very disappointing. We have a ton of similar Halloween things always left in the elements under no cover and they have continued to work for years.

Q: Is he a REAL outdoor (waterproof) decoration? Or is he "outdoor" but under cover area ONLY? Meaning he really can NOT get wet.

A: I wouldn’t get him wet - putting him on my big porch - electronics in his head and light up eyes and jaw moved.

Q: Can skeleton be positioned to sit down on a chair?

A: Nope, the only part that is able to be positioned are the arms and they only can be moved up or down.

Q: How much does it weigh?

A: Maybe 40 pounds

Q: Can you turn off the sound and keep the eyes on?

A: Yes, volume knob on rear. The jaw will keep moving which is stupid. Add a switch to deactivate jaw by opening up the head. I ran the switch wires down to his rear where I have a switch. Now he looks cool with the LCD eyes on and is quiet!!! ahhhh so much better to have options. If you take this on, knowing how to solder is important for longevity of the tweak. I used shrink-tubing over my soldering to preserve things since it's outside. You can use electricians tape but shrink tubing is just cleaner. You'll run wires out where the head mounts. I bought some small connectors where I can disconnect the wires to remove head. I then added another set of connectors and long wire running down his spine. Essentially, anywhere the body disconnects, you'll need to also have a connector so it can still be taken apart easily. I drilled a hole in the rear hips to mount the switch. Took a couple of hours to dial everything in and it works great.
