My first escooter so this is a rookie view. The E45 goes a decent real world distance which is close to the manufacturer estimate. I'm close to the max weight (*cough*) but the estimates were still pretty accurate. At 18 mph i was still getting close to 20 miles distance. I would imagine traveling at 9 mph would result in 28 miles off distance. But that's kinda slow for my lead thumb. I drove up steep hills and got good results. I am definitely pleased with the E45 as my first escooter and when i graduate to the insane 40 mph off road escooters i will still remember this one. I like the blinking lights above and below the foot deck mostly for safety. The braking is fully electronic with emergency old school fender-foot brake. Cruise control saves the thumb on the long hauls. The app works great for me and controls the entire E45. That's good and bad since you need to use the app most times when you need to make changes. Tires are solid but soft but probably don't compare to air filled tires for ride comfort. But they don't go flat, I'll take that trade off. Kick stand works. Comes with a hook to carry your small bag on the handle bar stem. Use a helmet, just a suggestion, this is NOT a toy. An 18 mph face plant will seriously ruin your day. Don't ride it during a rain as the tires don't have the best wet road traction.

Fantastic scooter. I ride this to work 3-4 times a week thru all kinds of weather. It works well in wind and can get up to 19mph coming down hill. I use the fastest setting so I can probably get 12 miles out of it, but it also charges in a few hours. It also works very well on hills and keeps the speed in the 12-15 mph range. I also like the triple breaking, but would rather have a hand brake. The only issue I have had is the lights are glitchy.

I tried it twice and i think it’s good enough for the casual commuter. I'm 6'0 200lbs muscular. Definitely can't tackle any hills with this at my size. That being said it's not appropriate for Women. This thing is big and heavy. My wife cannot use it for that reason. It's too cold right now in NYC to rode regularly for now and our sidewalks and roads suck especially during the winter. But it handled the twigs and debris pretty good although i don't know how long it'll last dealing with daily abuse from that along with my size. If I'd have to replace annually, I'm not sure scooter tech is quite there yet in terms of the economics. That being said it does what's advertised and seems to be a safe and reputable brand in the space, which is why i went with Segway.

Better than we expected! Our son used to use the Bird whenever he needed it, but he prefers his Segway. The quality is great and you can set it up with your phone, which we like because it cannot be driven (by anyone) unless you connect with the app. It's also super sturdy. Speed is good and it can be driven by an adult as well.

Sturdy design. Nice, smooth ride. Battery power and speed are impressive. It is a little on the heavy side, but the extra battery can be removed with tools. Even without the battery, the part you would use to carry when folded is a little thick to hold with one hand.

I upgraded from a Swagtron5 which was a putt putt and the difference is night and day the Max handles slope like a champ is easier to start up and use the features . The only draw back is it’s bigger and heavier.

This is a quality item, fun and easy to ride. It actually does everything it states it will do. Some of the drawbacks for me were the low ground clearance (we have speed bumps in the parking lots around my neighborhood), lack of suspension (rough ride on roads that are not smooth or sidewalks), the app is not that user friendly and disconnects often, and there is no key or way to turn off the power so that it cannot be used by unwanted riders (security).

I bought this scooter to make trips to nearby stores more affordable by limiting my gas usage. It's perfect for any college campus, it will get you to and from your dorm quickly and with ease. I am a heavier rider yet it still reaches and often exceeds the rated 19mph top speed. The range does vary on load as well as incline.

Wow what fun it is to ride this beast of a E-Scooter. Top speed in sports mode is 30mph & without it on 25mph. So you definitely are getting more than what it says in the description it say 18mph is the max speed. Its 30mph. Wow what fun though & you get to where u need to go quick on this. Would buy this again
Great product love it, can't recommend it highly enough!

With 6 months of use and 330 miles, it has degraded to the point of being not suitable for commuting anymore. I have filed a warranty claim, and that is a cumbersome process. They effectively sent me shipping labels and who knows how long a repair will take. If you are considering this model for a reliable way to commute to work… it didn’t work out for me. I would say its great while it lasted… but that was not for long. I would not recommend to a friend- review makes me say I would to submit.
