As a mainstream automatic watch, it is not only stylish, but also keeps good time. It has the tradition of the Seiko factory imprinted all over and embedded deep within in its Magic Lever bi-directional winding mechanism; in replacing a dedicated winding bridge with a brass bushing and rachet-wheel and in the keyless works relocated from the top plate to the bottom one makes servicing easier.

• Movement: It's powered by the in-house Seiko Caliber 7S26, a 21-jewel automatic movement. It's a self-winding movement that doesn't require a battery and has a power reserve of approximately 40 hours.
• Case and Crystal: The watch has a 37mm stainless steel case with an exhibition caseback, which allows a view of the movement. The crystal is made of Hardlex, Seiko's proprietary hardened mineral glass.
• Dial: The watch features a black dial with luminous hands and hour markers for good readability in low-light conditions. It includes a day-date complication at the 3 o'clock position, which can display the day of the week in both English and another language (often Roman numerals)
• Bracelet and Water Resistance: It comes on a matching stainless steel bracelet. The watch has a water resistance rating of 30 meters (3 ATM), which is suitable for splashes and light rain but not for swimming or showering.
