About this product
SERATONES - Love & Algorhythms is an interstellar synthesis of astral Soul, R&B, and sci-fi Funk. Working with producer Paul Butler (The Bees, Micheal Kiwanuka, Caroline Rose, Hurray for the Riff Raff), Seratones have taken the invitation to knock at the door of the cosmos. A.J. Haynes's voice dances with soul-stirring devotion at the altar of Black Feminisms weaving the words Toni Cade Bambara, Octavia Butler's Xenogenesis multiverse, echoes of bell hooks, and Audre Lorde's Power of the Erotic. With drummer Jesse Gabriel's machine-like precision and the transcendental touches from guitarist Travis Stewart, the album oscillates between Alice Coltrane-inspired bliss & Giorgio Moroder's ecstatic . Each song hovers and pulsates in the wide, dark matter'constellations guiding a journey through the subtle body, the vast fullness of the human experience and the irresistible potential of liberation.

2019 . Produced by Bradley Shultz of Cage The Elephant, the album stands as Seratones' follow-up to their 2016 debut Get Gone. The debut garnered the band critical acclaim, and they intend to take the nuances of Get Gone and perpetuate them into a bigger, more genre-bending sound on Power. Focusing on their powerhouse of a frontwoman A.J. Haynes, the album delves into Inchher years fighting for reproductive rights and serving as a counselor at one of Louisiana's last remaining abortion providers, her advocacy for racial equality, her struggles to adapt and overcome, her love of poetry, and much more.Inch
After 20 years, Daniel Graves returns to the album that started it all. Closer to Human isn't just a reissue -it's a resurrection. Armed with the very synths and samples used in the original 2005 recording, Graves has meticulously rebuilt every track from the ground up. The result? A reimagining that remains true to it's roots while achieving a level of depth and clarity never before possible. Aesthetic Perfection has never sounded better. In an exclusive partnership with Dependent Records, Closer to Human will be available in limited quantities as a 1-disc digisleeve, 2-disc digipak, and colored vinyl. What makes you human?
