Shakespeare and Hathaway: Season Four - DVD [2 Discs]

The hilariously mismatched detective duo of Luella Shakespeare (Jo Joyner, Murdoch Mysteries) and grumpy Frank Hathaway (Mark Benton, Death in Paradise) return for ten more episodes of the hit mystery / comedy drama set in beautiful Stratford-upon-Avon. You might think the birthplace of William Shakespeare would be safe from fraud, extortion, vice, identity theft and ransom, but you would be wrong.

The unlikely crime-fighting duo are back working the cobbled streets of Shakespeare's birthplace to solve more thrilling mysteries and murders most foul. Grumpy ex-cop Frank and warm-hearted ex-hairdresser Lu have gone their separate ways. But it's not long before events throw them back together, alongside their luvvie assistant Sebastian. A horror movie director hires the gang when he finds himself terrorised by one of his own creations. A client is fatally electrocuted at a team-building retreat. And a killer is on the loose in an isolated mansion during a murder mystery school reunion. Meanwhile, a saboteur hides in the shadows determined to destroy the Agency. Can tech whizz Spider help find the culprit before it's too late?

Combining corpses, comedy and cracking mysteries, this quirky crime drama has won the hearts of over 200 countries. Now that Lu has passed her private investigator exams and Frank's tidied himself up a bit, there's no stopping them. But murder, kidnap, blackmail and infidelity still abound in the pretty tourist town of Stratford-upon-Avon. An ageing heavy metal star with a pact with the devil. A Shakespeare museum full of deadly secrets
