Used to be good, but this recent one...

The most recent replacement filter I've purchased from Best Buy has been a let down. A wreaking plastic smell filled the bedroom when initially installed. I moved it to the garage and ran it for 48 hours and it still emitted a plastic odor. Took the filter out, let it air out for several days, and reinstalled it... Still stinks like plastic when running. Defeats the point of filtering the air and terrible when you're sensitive and have asthma. I've not had this issue with ordering these replacement filters from Best Buy in the past. It is pretty clear the blue foam ring on the ends is what's causing the odor. Currently running again in a well ventilated area we don't spend much time in in hopes that this filter eventually off gasses this gross plastic stink and can be used as intended. Shouldn't have to do all this troubleshooting to replace a filter.

Breath of Fresh Air: Shark - Air Purifier

We purchased the Shark air purifier+ heater, more as a small room heater and it has exceeded my expectations in creating a healthier indoor environment. The sleek design seamlessly fits into any room, and its compact size doesn't compromise its powerful performance. Equipped with a multi-layered filtration system, including True HEPA it effectively removes particles, allergens, and odors. I noticed a significant improvement in air quality, especially beneficial for allergy sufferers, which such a thing in our family. The user-friendly interface allows for easy customization of fan speeds and timer settings. The noise level is impressively low even at higher speeds, ensuring a peaceful and undisturbed environment. One standout feature is the real-time air quality monitor, providing instant feedback on pollutant levels. While the initial investment may seem steep, the long-term benefits to respiratory health and overall well-being make it a worthwhile purchase. This air purifier is a reliable and efficient solution for anyone seeking a breath of fresh air within their living space.
