Shaver - The Earth Rolls On - COMPACT DISCS [CD]

Legendary Texas songwriter and performer Billy Joe Shaver, along with his gitar playing son Eddy and their band, are back with a new album, Electric Shaver. From the first note played, this ablum unleashes a series of blues, rock and coutnry influenced songs that mix match and bounce between genres effortlessly. A must have for fans.

The young, Italy-based Quartetto Werther, regarded as one of the most promising rising chamber ensembles in the Italian and international concert scene, presents two masterpieces from the piano quartet repertoire a lesser known work by the 16-year-old Felix Mendelssohn-Bartholdy and Johannes Brahms' Piano Quartet No. 3, a composition he grappled with for nearly twenty years. This GENUIN pays homage to three towering figures of Romanticism Mendelssohn, Brahms, and the literary giant Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, without whom these works might never have come into existence. Firmly grounded in Goethe's poetic legacy and performed with extraordinary musical and technical refinement, this album brings both fresh revelations and long-overdue rediscoveries to light!

Shaver was a band that featured both Billy Joe Shaver and his son, Eddy. As the NY Times once wrote, InchShaver makes music to burn down the honky-tonks.Inch They also did a number of utterly gut-wrenching ballads. The band made five studio albums between 1993 and 2000 when, tragically, Eddy passed away. These 17 tracks are culled from those records.
