Shed Seven's third album, Let It Ride, is a vibrant and energetic collection of alternative rock anthems - Packed with catchy melodies and memorable hooks, it captures the band's confident and upbeat sound - This 180g vinyl re-issue, the first time the album has been made available on LP since it's initial , replicates the original 1998 Polydor pressing. Originally issued on Polydor Records in June 1998, Let It Ride built on the enormous popularity of 1996's A Maximun High, propelling the York-based indie four piece back into the UK Top 10. Let It Ride is the view from the summit of Shed Seven's first years of fame released nearly two years after A Maximum High, the album was trailed first by InchChasing RainbowsInch in November 1996, a Top 20 UK hit and arguably their most celebrated anthem. It was the first of the album's four singles the Britpop/Baggy joy of InchShe Left Me On FridayInch (No 11 in March 1998) followed; the arms-in-the-air power balladry of InchThe HeroesInch (No 18), concluding with that August's reflective InchDevil In Your ShoesInch. Produced by Stephen Street, Chris Sheldon and Dave Leaper, Let It Ride was partially recorded in the legendary Olympic Studios in Barnes. It finds the group stretching out, using drum machines and string sections, with songs like the country-influenced InchA HoleInch and the almost-metal of opener InchReturnInch. InchThere's songs on this album that have the ability to become classic songs, like The Beatles, like The Stones,Inch guitarist Paul Banks said at the time a bold claim, but then, listen to InchChasing RainbowsInch, and the melancholy closer InchGoodbyeInch to understand where he was coming from Album Tracks 1. Return 2. Let It Ride 3. The Heroes 4. Half Way Home 5. Devil in Your Shoes 6. She Left Me on Friday 7. A Hole 8. Drink Your Love 9. Stand Up and Be Counted 10. Chasing Rainbo

The debut album by much-loved Yorkshire band, Shed Seven, Change Giver released on vinyl for the first time since 1994, this reissue faithfully replicates the original Polydor UK pressing and is pressed on high-quality 180gm vinyl - Change Giver was released on Polydor Records in September 1994, on the leading edge of the Britpop movement and established the group as one of the most successful and cherished of the era. Although not garnering the headlines and controversy of other acts of the time, Shed Seven vocalist Rick Witter, guitarist Paul Banks, bassist Tom Gladwin and drummer Alan Leach - established a trademark sound and a fervent fanbase, resulting in a lengthy career and a string of hit albums. Formed in 1990 (and named after a railway shed) after making a name for themselves in their hometown of York, Shed Seven played London, gaining a reputation for their fearsome live shows an came to the attention of influential BBC Radio One DJ Steve Lamacq. After a bidding war, the group signed to Polydor in 1993, and group recorded what was to become Change Giver with producer Jessica Corcoran. First single, Mark/Casino Girl was released in March 1994 ahead of the album, and with each subsequent single , the group pushed higher into the UK charts. Released as Britpop was accelerating, Change Giver was described by Melody Maker as Incha chipper, cocky collection of brassy Northern pop songs.Inch The album reached the UK Top 20, and established the band to be one of the most popular acts of the final years of the 20th Century. Listening to the album today, the bravado of youth combined with strong melody and powerful lyrics put the album on a par with early works of The Jam and Blur. Album Tracks 1. Dirty Soul 2. Speakeasy 3. Long Time Dead 4. Head and Hands 5. Casino Girl 6. Missing Out 7. Dolphin 8. Stars in Your Eyes 9. Mark 10. Ocean Pie 1
