TIWAYO STEPS OUT OF THE SHADOWS WITH InchOUTSIDERInch RAW SOUL REVELATION PRODUCED BY GRAMMY WINNER ADRIAN QUESADA (BLACK PUMAS).Nicknamed InchThe Young OldInch for a voice that carries timeless weight, Paris-born soul singer and songwriter Tiwayo returns with Outsider, a powerful new album produced by Grammy winner Adrián Quesada of the Black Pumas. Set for worldwide on April 10, 2026, Outsider marks the triumphant comeback of a bohemian spirit who has busked and traveled across the world, absorbing the blues, soul, and gospel roots that continue to shape his music.(Who Is Tiwayo? Have you heard of him before? Where does that voice come from?)France may be famous for fine wines, electronic music, and buttery croissants-but not exactly for producing some of the deepest soul records. Tiwayo is here to change that. With Outsider, he delivers a rare and radiant soul gem, cracking the limits of cultural expectations and proving that true soul knows no borders.Celebrated by musical luminaries including Norah Jones, Marcus Miller, Tony Visconti, and Don Was, Tiwayo built a reputation opening stages for Sting, Seal, and Marcus Miller. After two acclaimed albums Desert Dreams and The Gypsy Soul of Tiwayo on the legendary Blue Note Records, Tiwayo had nearly vanished from the scene before Adrian Quesada heard his demos and pulled him back into the spotlight.Their paths crossed at France's Les Eurockéennes festival, leading Tiwayo from Paris to Austin and into the Adrian Quesada's Electric Deluxe Studio. There, he and Quesada forged a raw, genre-bending take on soul, with contributions from Pumas members and other leading lights of the retro-soul scene. Doyle Bramhall II, longtime Eric Clapton collaborator, lends guitar to three tracks, including InchDaddy Was Born with the BluesInch, Tiwayo's tribute to his late father, enriched by strings from Sly5thAve. Brooklyn's Kendra

Digitally remastered and expanded two CD edition. SoulMusic Records is very proud to present a deluxe edition of the 1986 self-titled Elektra Records debut album by soul/gospel singer/songwriter Shirley Murdock, whose work with '80s funk group Zapp and Roger Troutman first brought her to international prominence in 1984. After her first US R&B chart appearance in 1984 on Roger's 'Girl, Cut It Out' single, Shirley began working with Roger Troutman producing her solo debut for Elektra Records, released in early 1986. The US gold-certified LP yielded four singles, including the US Top 20 and R&B Top 5 hit, 'As We Lay' which essentially established Shirley as a mainstream recording artist and performer, resulting in two further Elektra albums until Shirley began recording primarily in the gospel field in 1992. With extensive liner notes by renowned US writer, Kevin Goins that include quotes from a 2018 interview with Shirley herself, and husband/musical collaborator Dale de Groat, this deluxe edition features the original 1986 album and eight bonus tracks, including five single edits. The eleven tracks on the second disc comprise various mixes of cuts from the original LP as well as extended versions of Roger's 'Girl, Cut It Out' and the now-classic Zapp track, 'Computer Love' (the latter featuring Charlie Wilson), compiled for the first time in one collection.
