Shock - DVD

Shock is an American film noir starring Vincent Price, Lynn Bari, and Frank Latimore. A young woman named Janet Stewart (Anabel Shaw) is anticipating the arrival of her husband and attempts to check into a hotel. She and her husband have not seen each other for years and have planned to meet at the hotel. During his military service he was presumed dead, but actually was a prisoner of war. Unfortunately, her cable requesting the reservation never arrived. After the staff have heard her story, they agree to provide her with a room for the night. Restless, she hears a loud argument and goes to the balcony window where she witnesses a man striking his wife with a candlestick. The woman is killed. The next morning, her husband arrives and attempts to surprise Janet. Instead, he discovers her sitting on the couch, staring into space. She has gone into a state of shock as a result of seeing the murder. The hotel doctor is called, but he suggests she see a specialist. The specialist she sees turns out to be Dr. Cross, the man who murdered his wife. The events which follow are hair-raising. A great thriller flick! (70 minutes - 1946 - Black & White - 4 3)

Chile has it all gorgeous landscapes, smoking- hot women, cool dudes, great wine, and the wildest parties. For a hapless American tourist, nicknamed Gringo (Eli Roth) by his two Chilean pals Ariel (Ariel Levy) and Pollo (Nicolás Martínez), the trip has been heaven on earth - except that he just can't hook up with the ladies. Gringo's luck seems to change when the group meets a trio of babes - Russian model Irina (Natasha Yarovenko), non-stop party girl Kylie (Lorenza Izzo) and her serious sister Monica (Andrea Osvárt) - who agree to accompany them on a trip to the coastal town of Valparaíso. The new friends are having the best of times whooping it up in a dance club, until a violent earthquake brings the entire city down around them. With this one-time paradise now a landscape of death and destruction that's seething with terror and panic, our unlucky heroes must run for their lives from looters, escaped convicts, and the inevitable aftershocks.
