Q: What is the microphone quality? Im wanting earbuds on airpods microphone level.
A: Quality is good. Sound is crisp and clear.
Q: Are these earbuds compatible with the iPhones?
A: Hi there- Shokz here! Yes, the Shokz OpenDots ONE earbuds are fully compatible with iPhones as they use standard Bluetooth for connection, working just like any other Bluetooth headphones for audio and calls, with the Shokz App requiring iOS 13.0 or higher for full features, ensuring a great experience on your iPhone. Please reach out to our Customer Happiness Team if you have any other questions. Thank you!
Q: Do they stay on for people with small ears. Thanks in advance.
A: Hello- Shokz here! Yes, Shokz specifically designs the OpenDots ONE with a clip-on form factor that is generally suitable and secure for people with small ears. Please reach out to our Customer Happiness Team if you have any other questions. Thank you!
Q: Are these recommended for those with hearing loss
A: Hello- Shokz here! Yes, Shokz OpenDots ONE could be a good option for people with certain types of hearing loss, as their open-ear design keeps the ear canal unobstructed, which can improve comfort and safety. However, they are not a universal solution for everyone with hearing loss and should be considered alongside more traditional bone conduction headphones and with a hearing professional's advice, as their technology relies on air conduction, not bone conduction. Please reach out to our Customer happiness team if you have any other questions. Thank you!
A: Hi there- Shokz here! OpenDots ONE are specifically designed for a secure, stable fit during exercise and running, meaning there is very little danger of them falling out or needing constant adjustment. Please reach out to our Customer Happiness Team if you have any other questions. Thank you!
A: Hi there- Shokz here! OpenDots ONE uses DirectPitch™ Technology, so you can enjoy your favorite tunes without disturbing those around you. By minimizing sound leakage, this tech ensures your music will stay between you and your earbuds. Please reach out to our Customer Happiness Team if you have any other questions. Thank you!
A: Hi there- Shokz here! To answer a call on Shokz OpenDots ONE, double-tap the JointArc on either earbud. Alternatively, you can also double-pinch the battery compartment on either earbud to answer the call. The User Manual can be found directly on our Shokz site under the Help Center and shows all of the features and functions of the OpenDots ONE. Please reach out to our Customer Happiness Team if you have any other questions :). Thanks!
Q: Does anyone in healthcare use these? Could I use a stethoscope without having to take these out?
A: Hi there- Shokz here! OpenDots ONE are not recommended for use with a traditional stethoscope because their clip-on design means they sit just outside the ear canal, which would interfere with placing the stethoscope's earpieces correctly. Please reach out to our Customer Happiness if you have any other questions. Thank you!

Picked up the Shokz OpenDots One for my running and gym sessions, and I’m really happy with them. The open-ear design is a game-changer - I can hear my music clearly while still staying aware of traffic and my surroundings during runs. Super lightweight, and the open design keeps them secure even during high-intensity workouts without feeling tight. Sound quality is surprisingly good for open-ear buds - the bass is solid and vocals come through crisp. Battery life gets me through multiple workouts easily, and the quick charge feature is clutch when I forget to charge them overnight. The water resistance handles sweat with no issues. Only downside is they’re not as loud as traditional in-ear buds in noisy environments, but that’s the trade-off for the situational awareness I wanted. Perfect for anyone who needs to stay alert while working out.

Shokz OpenDots One: A game-changer for open-ear audio The Shokz OpenDots One are truly a standout innovation in the world of open-ear earbuds, especially if you prioritize comfort and situational awareness. Here's what makes them shine: Unrivaled Comfort: These earbuds are remarkably lightweight at just 6.5 grams per earbud, making them feel almost imperceptible even during extended wear. The flexible nickel-titanium plate and soft silicone grip ensure a comfortable and secure fit that adapts to various ear shapes, eliminating pressure and discomfort often associated with traditional earbuds. One reviewer even noted being able to comfortably wear them while sleeping on their side. This makes them ideal for all-day use, whether you're working, commuting, or engaging in light activities. Excellent Audio Quality: The OpenDots One offer surprisingly rich and clear audio, including a decent bass response thanks to Shokz's Bassphere Technology and Dolby Audio support. While not quite matching the sound quality of top-tier noise-isolating earbuds, they stand out among open-ear options, providing a crisp and detailed sound that's perfect for casual listening, audiobooks, and podcasts. Maintain Situational Awareness: The open-ear design allows you to enjoy your audio while remaining fully connected to your environment. This is particularly beneficial for runners, cyclists, or anyone who needs to be aware of traffic, conversations, or other sounds around them. Impressive Battery Life: You'll get up to 10 hours of playtime on a single charge and a remarkable 40 hours with the compact charging case. Even a quick 10-minute charge provides 2 hours of listening time, making them convenient for on-the-go use. Thoughtful Features: The OpenDots One come with a suite of useful features including an IP54 water resistance rating, AI noise-canceling mics for clear calls, multipoint pairing for seamless switching between devices, and customizable EQ and touch controls through the Shokz app. The earbuds are even interchangeable, and feature dynamic ear detection that automatically adjusts audio channels for stereo sound regardless of which earbud is in which ear. In conclusion, the Shokz OpenDots One offer a refreshing take on the open-ear earbud experience. While the sound quality might not satisfy hardcore audiophiles who prioritize noise cancellation, the OpenDots One are an exceptional choice for anyone seeking a comfortable, lightweight, and long-lasting earbud that keeps them connected to both their music and the world around them. If you've been looking for an open-ear option that truly enhances your daily life, the OpenDots One are definitely worth considering.

I’ve had these Shokz OpenDots for about a week now, and I bought them with my own hard-earned cash. No freebie, no influencer deal, just a guy trying to keep his ears happy. My wife’s been raving about Shokz for years, but I stayed loyal to my AirPods Pros… until I stumbled across the Shokz kiosk at Best Buy and tried on every single style like a kid in a candy store. The OpenDots won me over, not because they’re flashy (they’re not), but because they just work—especially with glasses. They look a little different at first, but wear them once and you stop caring and so does everyone else. The sound is shockingly immersive. I wasn’t expecting that from something that doesn’t even go inside your ear. I turned on the Deep Bass setting in the app, and wow—these things absolutely punch. Podcasts, music, calls—they all sound crisp, clear, and far better than “open-ear” should allow. They’ve held steady on my ears through ruck hikes, a 4-mile run with sprints, and even cycling. ZERO slipping. No adjusting. My mind has been blown. And here’s a bonus I didn’t expect: While waiting at the barber shop with my son, I handed him one bud and kept the other for myself so he could hear a video I wanted him to see. It hit me—this is way more sanitary to share than traditional earbuds. Since they rest on the ear instead of in it, there’s no earwax handoff. Major win. A few standout wins: - Seamless switching between iPhone and Mac—just make sure to toggle that feature on in the app. - Battery life is no joke. After three hours, I still had 70% left. - Universal earbuds: you can stick either bud in either ear and they’ll still charge in any slot. Whoever designed that deserves a raise. Now, the nitpicks: - No volume control on the buds. I have an Apple Watch that can control the volume, so it’s not a dealbreaker, but I do miss being able to slide up or down like I can on my AirPods Pros. - After 2 hours, I start to feel a little ear fatigue. Not painful, just noticeable. It’s probably going to take my body some time to get used to this design so I can leave them in longer. - No “Find My” feature. If I lose the case, I’m on my own. Might need to slap an AirTag on it like I do when I take my kids to Disney haha. Bottom line: These are different-looking earbuds that sound amazing, feel great, and somehow manage to work better than any other Shokz designs if you wear glasses. Whether you’re logging serious workouts or catching up on podcasts around the house, these let you stay connected to your audio and your surroundings—so you won’t miss a beat (or a “Dad, come here!” from the other room). If you're on the fence, I was too. But now I get the hype.
