This game has significant differences from the last. Sprawling cities, new strategies for city planning and wonders along with an incredibly complex diplomacy major this a hugely immersive game. This may be rough for a new player to the series to adapt to.

Most gameplay is just as I remembered and liked of the older versions with some new twists. Of course technology tree is updated and fight mechanics are better. Graphics also much improved.

Not quite like the ones from the past I miss the simpler versions but still addictive and enjoyable as long as you get for less than $60

If you like the Civ games, then you'll definitely like Civ 6. It has several improvements over the older games, the most significant of which are the new districts. It revamps other areas as well making for a good Civ experience. The AI isn't very good, but the fun of building your own civ is still the main draw for the Civ games.

Civ VI is my new favorite strategy game! Firaxis got rid of the tedious elements like micro-managing builders and created a game that is both complex and gets right to the meat of the Civ experience. The new diplomacy system makes sense of what used to seem random in Civ V. The game looks gorgeous and scales to just about any PC from my new GTX 1070 to my old potato quality HD6670 rig.

Some of the new features are great, but for the wait since the last game, they haven't changed much.

The graphics are unbelievable. Gameplay is a little different but now you really need to think about how you want to build your empire. As the developers have said, no two games are the same. The game just came out so no mods as of yet but the game is awesome already. The downside is the cartoony portrait of the leaders and I thought we'd have more of a selection of leaders. Overall this is a great game that I believe has a ton of replay value. This is not one of those 1-done games.

Yes it"s newer, bigger and more complex. The graphics are amazing but game itself in it's more indepth complexity in my opiinion has become that much more cumbersome. Maybe few too many things to have to think about and make the right decision at the right time.

I have played the Civ games since number three. Each one has added a little more to the picture, a more in depth and involving part of the game. With the introduction of districts and envoys this game takes another step. More than just a city builder, this game requires you to plan and plan ahead. In one word, ADDICTING!!

Civilization 6 is a decent game. It brings some new mechanics that try to make the game more interesting. The success of that is questionable like the cities now having districts that also limit each city to focusing on only a few traits, mainly because of the lack of space for each city, or the culture tree that now runs as a clone of the science tree. The graphics have been dialed back as well, which is unacceptable. The game looks cartoony now and some of the designs for units are very unrealistic. I've played Civ 5 for over 300 hours and can say I prefer the 5th with a doubt. What Firaxis has shown from the 4 last games they have put out is that they do not fully understand what they're doing anymore. They randomly inject ideas into rushed games and it has shown. They sell well at first because they have a strong legacy but their games have not been up to par with their history. It would seem they spend too much playing their own games and not enough developing them.

Now you can fight the spread of other religions without going to war. Build districts to build your specialty buildings like workshops, libraries, and temples. Only negative is the amount of time it takes to build things.

This iteration of civilization is the best yet. It feels so complete. Normally my first game involves me thinking things like "man, once they fix the tourism system" or "once they balance religion" or "once they add *insert anything* in the next expansion". However, with this one, I don't feel like I'm waiting on an expansion to make the game complete. It has all my favorite features from previous versions and some new improvements that take it from awesome to perfect.

It's a Sid Meier game, which means fun and a great time sink. I love this version, though i have been a little disappointed that over the years they have made it more difficult to use cheat codes and such, for those of us that want to have a quick domination of the game

The graphics are great and if you can get the game on sale, it may be worth it. My big problem with it is the AI is downright broken. No matter what you do you end up in war. The AI declares war on you for the most idiotic reasons (for example, not accepting a ridiculous trade offer). This forces you towards a military focused game-play style. Then, you get egregious warmonger penalties even if you are just defending yourself in a war started by others. A game with a lot of potential ruined by the AI and no fix despite all the complaints they are receiving.

Good game as previous. Take awhile to get use to but good

There are a lot of little changes, but if you are proficient with the other civs, you'll have no problem with this version. One feature I like in the other versions is the ability to move units with the keyboard, you can not do that in this version. Also, they brought back a lot of the animations from previous versions and you have wait for them to play, you can not skip through them. Not a big issue, but it can be a bit annoying. Overall I think it's a good game, just very different from Civ V.
