A: Hello, We have this device installed with our system in the garage. The device has an upper and lower temperature alarm. If the temperature gets below or above the low or high setting (user definable), simplisafe will notify you through an alert. We get a text and phone call when the garage temperature has fallen below our low setting. I hope this helps.
A: It’s really designed the other way around. You can set it to a temp, and it notifies you if it goes over, like with AC. However, being it is Bluetooth and runs on a 2032 lozenge battery, I don’t know if the signal will penetrate the steel case, or if it will work at zero degrees. I don’t think so. Try calling the SimpliSafe help line.
