A: I can't find any reference to a Clarion SMD4 but the Clarion CMD4 is Sirius Ready which is NOT compatible with the SXV300 Connect Tuner. Conversely, I can also find the Clarion CMS4 which is SiriusXM Ready and this H/U is compatible with the SXV300 Connect tuner.

Q: Does it strengthen the signal for better quality sound ?

Q: Will SXV 300 let me connect with Sirius fish mapping subscription from Sirius?

A: No, the SXV300 is not compatible with Fish Mapping. There are several options that are, please visit our marine website: www.siriusxm.com/marine for more information on satellite receivers compatible with Fish Mapping and the marine displays that these receivers are compatible with.

    SiriusXM SXV300 Connect Tuner - El Centro, CA

    Best Buy Geek Squad (in particular Sergio from the El Centro branch) installed my stereo head unit and subsequently a Viper alarm system into my 2010 Ford F-250. Sergio applied his expertise to the entire process including recommendation, diagnostic, ordering, and install. He knew exactly what would work for my installation (including harnesses, kits, and adapters/converters) to meet my expectations. Sergio was extremely polite, respectful, and customer service oriented including his patience with me as I know very little about the nature of vehicle electronics and he entertained and answered all of my amateur inquiries. Sergio completed the install as scheduled, in a practical time frame, and I was more than satisfied the work Sergio completed as my truck was returned to complete factory condition with the install done correct the first time. I highly recommend having this kind of work performed at Best Buy El Centro as opposed to other local stereo shops as I shopped around prior to the install, and found that the other shops did not carry the higher quality stereo head by Sony, and although the cost was a bit cheaper for the install, with Best Buy you have the peace-of-mind that your install is performed using the highest quality materials (such as wires, tape, etc.) that will last for the lifetime of the vehicle, vs. the most cost-efficient to keep the overhead of the stereo shop low. Best Buy stands by their work and their products, while the other guys won’t offer a guarantee for their work. Thank you Best Buy and especially Sergio V. for a job well done the first time! -ShawnM

    Great addition to Marine radio

    Great tuner and antenna. Signal is great even under boat lift. Super easy to add on to an existing marine radio.
