About this product
SJC Drums introduces the Josh Dun Signature Torch Snare Drum, a professional-grade percussion instrument measured at a versatile 6.5" x 14" dimension to deliver a deep, fat backbeat footprint. Built with a solid, 1/4-inch seamless acrylic shell, this signature snare eliminates internal joint structural weaknesses to optimize natural acoustic resonance and produce a sharp, fiery stick attack with short sustain. The instrument is outfitted with a premium 20-strand snare wire assembly that maintains precise, consistent contact across the lower resonant drumhead, ensuring that rapid ghost notes and softer dynamic playing styles remain crisp and articulate at all volume levels. Topped with a factory-matched 2-ply coated batter drumhead and a thin 1-ply clear bottom resonant head, the component utilizes rigid 2.3mm triple-flanged steel hoops and 10 dual-sided double-ended tube lugs to distribute mechanical tension evenly across the edges for predictable pitch and high-tension tuning stability. Finished with a durable textured black powder coating across all steel hardware and tension rods, the translucent high-visibility yellow acrylic shell features an authentic collectible Inferno artist badge, making this signature piece a reliable, eye-catching addition for drummers performing across modern rock, pop, and alternative music genres.
Features
6.5" x 14" Deep-Profile Signature Snare Dimensions
Features a 14-inch diameter combined with a 6.5-inch shell depth to create a deep, fat backbeat footprint. This standard studio configuration provides ample acoustic projection and a broad tuning range, allowing gigging drummers and session players to easily cut through dense live venue mixes or track clear, powerful rhythms during high-sensitivity recording sessions.
1/4-Inch Seamless Acrylic Shell Construction
Molded from a solid, 6.35mm seamless acrylic cylinder that eliminates internal joint structural weaknesses to optimize natural acoustic resonance. This dense, non-porous material matrix produces a sharp, fiery acoustic attack with short sustain, making it an excellent choice for modern rock, pop, and alternative music genres that demand distinct note definition.
20-Strand Highly Responsive Wire Assembly
Outfitted with a premium 20-strand snare wire layout that maintains precise, consistent contact across the lower resonant drumhead. This sensitive structural arrangement ensures that subtle stick work, rapid ghost notes, and softer dynamic playing styles remain crisp and articulate without losing clarity or dropping out at lower volume levels.
Rigid 2.3mm Triple-Flanged Steel Tuning Hoops
Anchored by heavy-duty, 2.3mm triple-flanged hoops that provide robust structural rigidity for high-tension rimshots and stable intonation. This thickened hoop profile distributes tension rod pulling forces evenly across the shell edge to maintain predictable pitch, while the rounded upper rim edge actively protects your drumstick wood from splintering.
10 Dual-Sided Double-Ended Tube Lugs
Built with 10 classic double-ended tube lugs that bridge the upper and lower tension pathways across the acrylic shell wall. This multi-lug layout maximizes structural tuning alignment, distributing mechanical tension evenly from head to head to support rapid, precise fine-tuning adjustments during performance preparation or active tracking.
