About this product
SJC Drums introduces the Pathfinder Mounted Tom in a distinct Galaxy Gray wrapped finish with textured black hardware, a professional-grade acoustic expansion piece measured at a compact 7" x 10" to deliver a focused, quick sound decay. Built with a specialized 6-ply blended hybrid maple wood shell, this rack tom produces an evenly balanced sonic profile that blends a crisp mid-range acoustic punch with a warm, resonant low-end register. The shell features precision factory-cut double 45-degree internal bearing edges that maximize mechanical energy translation, channeling drumhead vibrations smoothly into the wood layers to maintain uniform pitch clarity across a wide tuning spectrum. Topped with a premium factory-installed Evans brand drumhead, the component is outfitted with low-mass iconic shield lugs and lightweight 1.6mm triple-flanged steel hoops that securely anchor the tuning rods for stable intonation while the rounded hoop edges help protect your drumsticks from splitting. Complete with an all-inclusive suspension hardware package consisting of a hanging mount, a 10.5mm receiver bracket, and an industrial L-rod clamp, this versatile add-on tom ensures rapid integration and slip-free anchoring onto existing cymbal stands or drum racks, making it an ideal choice for drummers expanding their live or studio setups.
Features
7" x 10" Standard Mounted Tom Acoustic Expansion Layout
Features a responsive 10-inch shell diameter combined with a shallow 7-inch depth profile to deliver a focused, quick sound decay. This compact architectural setup functions as a highly adaptable add-on component, allowing drummers to seamlessly integrate a tighter, upper-register acoustic voice into their current configuration using standard mounting hardware or universal multi-clamps (sold separately).
6-Ply Blended Hybrid Maple Wood Shell Construction
Crafted from a specialized 6-ply multi-layer hybrid maple tonewood formula that produces an evenly balanced acoustic response. This dense multi-ply layout provides a crisp mid-range punch alongside a deep, warm lower frequency profile, creating a highly responsive acoustic signature that easily blends with the structural tones of modern pop, heavy rock, punk, or electronic hybrid kits.
Precision-Shaved Double 45-Degree Bearing Edges
Shaved with factory-cut double 45-degree internal bearing edges where the premium drumhead directly meets the hybrid maple shell walls. This precise symmetrical woodworking layout maximizes mechanical energy translation, channeling subtle head vibrations evenly into the wood layers to maintain uniform pitch clarity, pure balanced playing tonality, and high-sensitivity tracking.
Low-Mass Iconic SJC Shield Lugs and 1.6mm Steel Hoops
Outfitted with lightweight, high-strength shield lugs paired with 1.6mm triple-flanged steel hoops to anchor tension rods securely. This low-profile design minimizes the physical hardware weight resting on the wood layers to promote natural shell sustain and stable intonation, while the rounded hoop edges actively protect your drumstick arsenal from splitting or splintering.
Integrated Suspension Mounting Bracket and L-Rod Clamp
Equipped with a dedicated hanging tom mount featuring a 10.5mm structural receiver bracket and an industrial L-rod clamp. This all-inclusive mounting configuration ensures rapid, stable hardware integration with existing cymbal stands or drum racks, supplying flexible angling, setup simplicity, and slip-free anchoring during high-impact live performances.
