Brand new 1/537 scale plastic model kit of the U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701 Refit Starship "Star Trek" by AMT features a brand new box and vintage style packaging. This officially licensed product includes a dome base with metal rod, shuttle craft model with Galileo and Copernicus decal options, and all pennant, strongback, and registry marking decals. The assembled model measures approximately 22 inches long. Paint and cement are required but not included. With its five-year mission completed under the command of Captain James T. Kirk, the U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701 underwent extensive upgrades in drydock, affecting every aspect of the starship. Its signature saucer-shaped primary hull remained, supported by a lower secondary hull, with newly swept-back pylons holding modernized engines capable of warp factor 9. The ship’s exterior featured marine gray metal plating replaced by a glistening series of panels arranged in patterns reminiscent of ancient Aztec hieroglyphics.
