Brand new 1/24 scale plastic model kit of the Mercedes-Benz 450 SLC Winner "Rallye Bandama Ivory Coast" (1979) (Skill 3) by Italeri. This kit comes in a brand new box and features real rubber tires, colorful decal artwork, a color instructions sheet, vintage style packaging, chrome plated small parts, decals for two numbers and two sets of drivers, and parts molded in color unless otherwise indicated, with "Chrome" trim detail that can be striped on with silver paint. It is an officially licensed product, does not include a driver figure, and requires paint and cement which are not included. The model measures approximately 7.5 inches in length when assembled. The Mercedes SLC, produced between 1971 and the early 1980s, was a luxury coupe based on the earlier Roadster model, characterized by harmonious and elegant design, equipped with a 4520 cm³ V8 engine producing 225 HP, combining high performance with refined styling and premium interior furnishings. The vehicle was adapted from the consumer model for rally competitions, introducing a roll-bar, competition rims, and aluminum components to reduce weight, contributing to increased performance and rallying successes such as the Mintex Rally victory in 1978.
