Pleasantly surprised with this product. The fit was perfect, but then again I have a larger ear. Bass is lacking, but the clarity is nice. Also the ability to custom the sound through the app. I work at night, so I have to be aware of my surroundings and this is perfect! Great batter life, I’ve had this for a couple weeks now and I’m just now charging the case.

This EarPods are the best,hardly recommend you can talk and listen to your music. And plus I love the case.

Comfortable to wear with great sound and convenient tactile buttons, these open-ear TWS headphones keep you connected to what’s around while still pumping out clear audio. The unique carrying case can be clipped onto stuff but isn’t really good for pockets. Highlights: * Comfortable to wear * Sound great * Good headphone and case battery life * Quick charge * Configurable tactile buttons on each earbud * Unique fabric-covered carrying case with clip * Wireless charging * Useful app Room for improvement: * Removal of buds from case is a 2-handed operation * Case is too large for most pockets * No case battery status at all (just charging status) * Minimal status lights (on the back by the USB-C port) Setup: The earbuds are shipped with protective tape covering each bud’s charging contacts so that the buds remain off during shipping. After removing that sticker from each bud, put them both back in the case, then charge everything up. These buds come with a short USB-C to A cable but any USB-C cable will work to connect to any suitable USB power source you already have. You can also use any compatible wireless charging pad - just spin the case around so you can see the small LED on the back to know when it’s done charging. Once charged, it’s time to pair and customize them. I went to the Bluetooth settings on my iPhone and selected them for pairing which was fast and easy. Once paired, install and then open the Skullcandy app. A QR code for the app is provided in the box or you can just search for the app by name. The app walks you through product registration and configuration for the actions that the button on each bud can do. While the buds are connected, the app clearly shows you the battery level of each bud, their firmware version, the equalizer setting and helpful links to other customization and assistance options. Note that the app does not show the battery level of the case’s battery. Many competing TWS earbuds show you battery (case and buds) information by just opening the case’s lid. This product’s case has a unique design without a traditional lid. To see this information in the app you have to remove the buds from the case first. Like many other open-ear clip-style earbuds, these are designed to clip onto your ear with one part in your ear and the other part behind your ear. They are really comfortable when worn and you might even forget they’re on. There is definitely a right and left bud but you can wear them solo if you want. Each bud has a rubber-coated tactile button on the top of the back portion which is easy to squeeze to trigger the action. These buttons can do 4 different things per bud (up to 8 different actions total) and the app can configure each action. Usage: Let’s start with the case. Unlike the normal style of a case with a hinged lid, these come in a sort of fabric bag that you squeeze at the top to gain access to the buds. This is really interesting and fresh, but it does require you to use two hands - one to hold the squeeze lid open while the other grabs or places the buds inside. Also, many other brands try to get their cases as small as possible so they easily fit into a pocket. This case, especially with the wide spring-loaded opening, doesn’t really fit in a typical pocket and instead prefers to be clipped to something like a belt loop or bag strap. The bottom of the case is flat so at least it stands up on its own and confidently sits on a wireless charging pad. Once you squeeze open the case, the buds inside are easy to grab. They are held in their matching spots magnetically and there’s a left and right spot to match the buds. While it’s possible to grab both buds at the same time, it requires a level of dexterity that many do not have. While the buds almost look identical, there is definitely a Left and a Right one. The easiest way to tell them apart is by looking at the Skullcandy logo to see which one has the logo facing up. Also, the button should be on the top for easier pressing. These hook on the back of your ear around the mid-point and the speaker part sits in your ear. The main benefit of open-ear headphones like this is that It doesn’t completely block your ear so unless the sound is up all the way, you can probably hear what’s going on around you even with music playing. It goes without saying that these have no active noise cancellation (ANC) and also don’t need any type of Transparency mode - both of which are only useful for earbuds that completely block your ears. Given that these don’t completely block your ears (one of the main design points), they sound really good and even hove a good bit of bass. I tried some of my favorite New Wave 80s tracks with the “Music” EQ setting and they sound much better than I expected. The “Bass Boost’ EQ mode gets them to have a bit more low-end sound even though you’ll probably not get as much thumping as with non-open buds. Again, the tradeoff of Open style buds is that they balance the ability to hear your surroundings with the music and don’t block your ears. The clip easily held them on my ears during a strenuous workout of jumping, biking and moving around while sweating. The parts that touch your ears are shiny plastic which is much easier to wipe clean than rubberized plastic. It only took a few tries to get good at putting them on at the same time by putting the tips in each ear and stretching the band so that they clip on the back. These buds support multi-point pairing so you can have them connected to your phone and your tablet, for example so you can watch videos on your tablet and take a call from your phone without having to fumble with switching them over from one to the other. You can also configure a button to trigger your phone’s camera shutter which is cool. You don’t even have to be wearing the bud to use this feature, so you can just use one bud as a remove camera trigger even when not wearing them or listening to anything. I don’t use Spotify but another action you can configure for the buttons is to trigger Spotify Tap which resumes your last playlist or starts a new one with your favorites once triggered. The case’s battery is kinda a mystery on these buds. There is no way to check the battery level of the case without also putting it on a charge. There’s no button to check the case’s battery status and the app doesn’t show anything about the case’s battery status. Also, the case’s status light is a small white light on the back next to the charging port. Perhaps the Gen 2 of these will move the status light to the front (lighting up the Skullcandy logo) and make that logo a button to check status? No ear tips are provided as none are needed for this type of headphone. They should fit just about everyone as-is. The provided USB cable has a C on one end for the case and a flat A on the other end. Most of my USB power adapters have C ports only so I’m just using a cable I had lying around or a wireless charging pad. When you’re done listening or just need a quick charge, returning them to the case is again a two-handed job but not difficult. When you put them in the case, the lights on each bud flash briefly but the case’s light does not. Most other cases give some indication on the outside when you put the buds in. Again, the only way to check battery status of the buds is by removing them and checking the app and the only way to check the battery in the case is by starting to charge it. That’s really my biggest suggestion for improvement. Aside from a few small complaints like the slightly more cumbersome than necessary case and the minimal battery status indications, these sound great and are really comfortable to wear. The buttons are easily customizable to do a lot of actions and the battery life is great (just have to trust them). Overall, a solid choice for open-ear buds.

These are open earbuds that have a lot going for them, and like them in a lot of ways, but sound quality is not one of them. Build Quality: The case feels very high quality, as does the earbuds as well. You can tell the craftsmanship and manufacturing of them is well thought out. Comfort: When it comes to comfort, I am in love. They do take a little to get used to how to put them on your ears, but this is my first pair of open earbuds. Once you have them on, you forget they are even on. You can wear them all day and not even realize it. I can’t stress this enough. Sound Quality: I would say that the sound quality is decent and gets the job done but is not great. The bass is lacking and the mids and highs are not as sharp and clear as I would like and sound a little tinny. I realize that these are earbuds and won’t sound like full size headphones, so I must take that into consideration, but I’ve had other earbuds that have sounded a lot better. As is designed, the outside sounds can be easily heard with them on, whether it is background noise, car horns and sounds, or talking to you or in the background. Battery: The earbuds internal battery lasts around 5.5 hours, same as advertised. The case can charge the batteries maybe a couple of times. Now one thing I have noticed is that if the earbuds at full charge are left in the case a full charge, after a few days, the earbuds are still full but the battery in the case is empty. Where does that charge go, who knows? Basically, if you are only using the earbuds periodically, make sure you charge everything first. This is sort of a strange phenomenon I don’t understand. Case: The case is really a sort of pouch that has a flat plastic panel inside where the earbuds are placed. I’m not sure I understand the pouch other than it has a clip on it that you can clip to almost anything. Maybe someone might have a use for it, but I don’t get it. The ear buds fit in great, and it is hard to screw it up, if you have the left and right correct (they are not the same) and they are oriented the right way. The pouch is quite a bit bigger than a normal earbud case and won’t so easily fit in your pocket. I guess it is more to be clipped on somewhere or put into your bag. Don’t expect it to fit in your pocket. Connection: These are Bluetooth earbuds, so I put them in pairing mode and had the phone find it and it’s done. Worked immediately the first time. Once the app was installed, it found the paired earbuds right away again the first time. All of this went so smoothly. Buttons: These earbuds have hard buttons instead of touch controls. To me, this is so much better and so rare. The buttons are located on the top of the part that fits behind your ear and is so easy to access. You can change their function in the app which you will probably want to do since the default settings are a bit of a strange choice. I wish there were more buttons as two functions are not really enough for me (although you can do the double and triple click which helps), but I must be realistic. The buttons are firm to push but at the same time, easy to push. App: The app is simple but works well. To start with, there is an EQ with presets. I found that changing the bands only a small effect and not as much as I would have liked. I feel the same about the presets. You can change the function of the hard buttons, the left and right separately. The options are play/pause, Volume up/down, track forward/reverse Spotify, take photos, and activate assistant. You can select low latency audio on or off. It says to only turn it on when watching videos or gaming. Overall: Overall, the comfort, hard buttons, and app easily get 5 stars. The pouch is very good too. The sound quality is not that great and keeps this from getting a perfect score. I would say if you were looking for open earbuds that you can wear all day, maybe you could consider these, but if sound quality is important, look elsewhere, unfortunately.

Good sound quantity. The sign is not as confortable as i thought they would be. The case design looks kool at 1st but after you realize how dumb it is due to the wasted space compatability and how annoying it is to put your headphones back in is not kool no more. Headphones could have been better than Shokz.

Great sound fits snuggly noise cancelling hard to be seen in the ear

I must admit that for the past few years, I deliberately excluded Skullcandy brand from my new earbud’s investment. I also dismissed the idea that open-ear style earbuds could compete with the traditional earbuds design when it comes to listening experience, but I have to say that my perspective changed when I tried this Skullcandy Push 720 open-ear (clip-on design). These earbuds offer a unique design that does not share any similar form factor with any other brands in the market. The charging case is made of fabric that feels so good to touch. It is not visually appealing but also feels premium and pocketable. It houses the earbuds securely, magnetically placed. In addition, the case has a built-in clip that is a plus. The overall design is both well-thought-out and sporty. After unboxing these amazing earbuds, I let them charge until the back LED light turned solid white, indicating full charge. I used the supplied USB-C to USB A cable to charge them, despite being short, but this is intentional so it can be stored conveniently inside the case. I downloaded the Skullcandy app on both my iPhone 17 Pro Max and Galaxy Fold 7 and successfully paired them up with no issues. The app is user-friendly and offers various features, including volume control, battery level monitoring, button customization, multipoint pairing, and voice assistance activation. While these earbuds do not have active noise cancellation (ANC), but they have a smart feature called “Clear Voice-Smart Mic”, which uses AI to isolate the user’s voice from background noise. I found this feature very functional, and I could clearly tell when the feature was active. Also, there is a low latency feature designed for gaming that makes these earbuds my go-to choice. These earbuds also great because both sides are independent and do not follow slave and master connection, in other words, each bud can be used fully independently while the other one being charged. The moment I put them on; I was impressed by their comfort. Unlike the in-ear design, they don’t put pressure on my ear canals and allow me to stay aware of my surroundings. The multipoint feature is also impressive; it works flawlessly. I tried listening to music on my iPhone and, as soon as I switched to my Fold 7, they connected instantly. My overall experience is great with them and Skullcandy brand has become one of my favorite brands.

I am a big fan of open-ear type earbuds and own several different designs. Open ear earbuds don't cover your ears or insert into your ear canal, so they allow you to hear the world around you and they feel less sticky when you get sweaty. You don't feel isolated from the world around you and can hold natural in-person conversations without having to constantly take them off. The Push 720 Open earbuds have a unique clip-on design. I like that they don't interfere with my glasses (a common issue for me with over the ear type open ear headphones). They also look pretty cool with skull accents and stand out compared to all the generic white earbuds everyone has. There is one configurable physical button for each ear, with lots of options for settings in the Skullcandy app (with different settings by ear for single press, multi-press, and hold). I love physical buttons over touch controls and these work great. I like the build quality and their IP-67 rating is the best of any of my headphones (dust proof and emersion rated to 1m). They should easily handle sweaty work outs, hanging out by the pool, or working outside in the Texas heat/dust. They aren't heavy, although the ear clip might be uncomfortable for some, I was able to wear them for hours at a time at the office and hardly noticed them. These strike a good balance between comfort and secure fit. They work well for my exercise routine (strength training and stationary bike), but I am not sure how they would do jogging. When you are done working out or outside, the combo of smooth plastic and rubber are also easy to wipe down. The Charging Pouch is actually awesome compared to other cases. I was not sure what to think at first, but the clip works great to connect to my backpack, there is room to tuck the small USB charging cable inside with the ear clips, and it has wireless charging. The pouch battery level is not displayed in the app (like it is for the ear clips), but the battery last for days of use and there is a simple multi-color led to indicate the charge level. Each ear clip last around 5-6hrs of steady use before needing to be quickly recharged in the pouch. Sound stage, volume, and balance are great (especially for open ear headphones) on the default (music) equalizer setting. I am really happy with the sound quality overall. They get loud enough that I rarely use them at full volume and they do not distort when pushed. There are a few equalizer settings (music, podcast, bass boost, custom) you can change in the Skullcandy app. I like low end, but the "bass boost" setting really throws off the balance for me; the lows are louder with a hollow/artificial tone. I would stick with the "music" setting and use the "custom" setting if you want to make a few tweaks. These have built-in mics for calls and meetings. Call quality was fine on both ends; people had no trouble hearing me and said I sounded normal (on my phone and Teams). According to the Skullcandy app, these use an always-on, AI based "smart" noise filtering, which did help reduce (not eliminate) background noise. I was a bit scared by the reviews in the app store, but I found the Skullcandy app pretty useful (iPhone). It has a few equalizer settings, battery info, user manual access, physical button configuration options, a low-latency mode on/off toggle, and a mult-device connection mode on/off toggle. So many devices offer multi-device pairing, but it often hard to undo or toggle. Skullcandy made it simple by letting you disable it in the app when you don't need it and you can forget all pair devices with a simple reset instructions in the user manual.

The new push 720 Skullcandy open ear clip design earbuds are perfect for my everyday routine, gym, going on my bike rides, etc.The open clip design is very comfortable and very helpful when it comes to the environmental awareness, specially when going on a bicycle ride and you want to listen to your music while listening to your surroundings for safety reasons. The earbuds are easy to use , light weight and sweat/ waterproof, battery life is great pretty much last me all day long with just a single charge, the unique and cool wireless charging pouch is perfect to clip on your backpack or your pants. The sound is crystal clear and good but I was expecting more from Skullcandy like the high end versions of their other headphones. The app is very helpful to set the earbuds sound, check software updates and for the button settings. One of the cool features is that you can set the buttons to be a remote for your phone camera. These earbuds are perfect for my everyday workout. Pro: battery life up to 30 hrs + rapid charge Comforbale secure clip earbuds Eviromentak awareness Swear/ waterproof Cons: sound

[PROS] Conveniently Designed: This highlight of the product encompasses multiple features that greatly benefit my day to day needs. Firstly, the magnetic pouch with the included keyring clasp makes me so much easier to keep track of them. I don't have the fear of accidentally dropping the case with the earbuds spilling out. Furthermore, the case can be charged wirelessly which frees me from needing to keep an additional cable out. Lastly, I'm a fan of the embedded physical button on each earbud. Personally, I despise touch functionality because sometimes false actions can be registered. My belief is that its better design choice given that it prevents unwanted commands from occurring. Pleasant to Wear: These earbuds are comfortable despite my larger than average ears. It does take some time to get used to them on the initial wear, but I was good to go after 20-30 minutes. Whether walking on the treadmill, going or a light jog, or shooting some hoops, they managed to stay in my ears throughout all of my workouts. I do feel like more intensive activities would produce additional sweat behind the ears leading to slippage. However, that would be expected with any similarly designed open earbuds. Great audio, Good microphone: I really enjoy listening to music on the Push 720. Its not an audiophile's dream, but it's way more than serviceable. As far as the mic, I assess microphones based on how my speech sound to others. My wife stated that I sounded very clear to her, and I was even happy with the playback from self recordings as well. Straightforward App: The Skullcandy software is surprisingly streamlined. I'm able to get battery life info, toggle EQs, and adjust functionality without having to go through several menus. Other pros: Battery life has been excellent thus far. I did need to charge the earbuds once, but it quickly regain juice to carry me throughout the rest of the day. [CONS] All of my gripes against this product are minor. The included cable seems a bit flimsy, and I wish the case was waterproof but you can't have it all. None of these things take away from the performance of the product. [CONCLUSION] I don't believe the Push 720 is perfect, but it executes solidly in all areas. From audio quality to mic clarity, I've been impressed with these earbuds which have become my go to for working out and when I'm out and about.

This is my second set of open-ear buds, and compared to my previous set, the Skullcandy have some distinct advantages, but also a slight shortcoming that will hopefully be fixed in a future firmware upgrade. These sound great. Once you get the equalizer tuned and the volume increased, even with the open-ear design, you can drown out much of the sound around you. It kind of defeats the purpose, but at least that’s an option when the world around you is too distracting. Sound is also clear and concise on calls, with no issues hearing the other person or them hearing me. Don’t expect thundering bass, though—since with an open-air design, you don’t get the airtight seal that produces that deep thump. Still, the different sound profiles make a noticeable difference and complement whichever type of audio you want to play. They are also very comfortable. After just a few minutes of wearing them, you forget they’re even there. They stay in place even during tough workouts, and I rarely find myself readjusting them. I could wear these all day without noticing them—if the battery allowed. Speaking of battery, this is a mixed bag. The box says 30 hours of battery life, but that breaks down into 6 hours from the buds themselves, with multiple charges in the case that add up to 30 hours. I don’t like when companies word it like that—it feels slightly misleading. Depending on usage, volume, and type of music, the battery life varies. With light, on-and-off use and minimal calls, I can get up to 5–6 hours. But with normal use, it’s more like 3–5 hours before I’m prompted to recharge. The fast charging is a great feature, though—10 minutes for 2 hours of playback is very handy. Just keep in mind that the advertised 30 hours isn’t a straight 30 hours of use. Two standout features that I really appreciate are the waterproofing and the return of buttons. On waterproofing: many devices say “splash proof” or “don’t submerge,” which makes me wonder how much they can really take. These, however, are claimed to be fully waterproof and submersible. That’s great for workouts, sweat, or even swimming laps (as long as the Bluetooth stays connected). As for the buttons—this is a big plus. Touch controls on headphones can be frustrating, especially when sweat or clothing accidentally triggers them. That’s really annoying if you’re boxing with gloves, for example. The return to physical buttons makes navigation easier, more precise, and customizable through the app. The app itself is straightforward with decent features. You get the usual EQ and sound profiles, but also extras like using the buds as a camera shutter—kind of cool. The app isn’t necessary, but it adds nice functionality. Now for the two negatives I found. First, the pouch. At first, I thought it was some kind of wireless charging pouch—just toss the buds in and they charge. Not the case. Inside is a typical charging cradle housed in a pouch with a spring-loaded top. It looks cool but is more trouble than it’s worth. Thankfully, the cradle is magnetized so the buds snap into place, but if you have thicker fingers, opening the pouch and fitting the buds in can be a chore until you get used to it. The second issue is the occasional signal drop. This reminds me of early true wireless earbuds, where one side would cut out depending on phone placement. Unfortunately, this happens when I’m running with my phone in my right pocket—the left earbud will cut in and out sporadically. It hasn’t happened often, but when it does, it’s frustrating. At this point in the technology, I’d expect this to be ironed out, so hopefully a firmware update can fix it. Additionally, if you lose signal or experience a malfunction, reconnecting isn’t always smooth. Sometimes putting them back in the case doesn’t work, and I’ve had to “forget” them and re-pair manually. The manual even mentions this. It may not happen to everyone, but it’s worth noting. Those are the only real negatives. Overall, these sound great, work excellently for both calls and music, have solid controls, a good app, and are very comfortable. Would I still recommend them? Absolutely. I use them around the house and throughout the day, and I often reach for these even before my standard set of headphones.

I’m a huge fan of open design now! So when I first put these on, I was very turned off from them. I didn't like them! They didn’t fit in my ear completely and I thought they were like all the other ear buds out there that don’t fit my ear. But after reading more about the product, I learned that they’re “OPEN” earbuds and after doing more research on that, it all clicked. They’re not supposed to be super deep in my ear canal, they’re supposed to be slightly off so I can still hear what’s going on around me. Hints the name of the product. A serious, dumb dumb, moment on my part. Once I got over that hurdle, I began to love these things. Going jogging, riding my bike, going on hikes, it's so nice! They fit super snug without feeling too tight on my ear, and I can even lay down on them for somewhat of a sleepbuds if you will. I never felt like they were gonna fall off. Though when I woke up in the morning they weren't on my ears. I eventually decided to bring these to work, and that’s where it truly shined for me. Since I work in IT sometimes I have to go out and solve an issue that, to be honest, I don’t know how to solve so I have to phone an expert. Being able to hear the customer as well as hear my co-worker is so nice! And it’s not artificial sounding like some passthrough options other buds have. It’s pure sound from both sides. Think of it like a speaker phone that only you can hear. It’s super convenient. And the fact it fits so well I don’t have to worry about refitting them as I'm doing my job is much appreciated. I had no issues with the mic, people could hear me without issue and from what they say it sounds pretty good. Sound quality was pretty good as well in my opinion, I am not complaining. However to get into the cons of this product, the sound is SOOOOOO much better when I push the earbuds into my ear canal. The base is thumper, the mids and highs are more distinct, etc. But I digress, I know that’s not what these are for. And using them as intended, I’m happy with the sound quality. BUT…. the case… I don’t like it at all. The design of the case, the opening mechanism. Basically I hate the case. And maybe it’s because I’m a guy and it feels somewhat similar to a tiny little purse to me for some reason. Not really my cup of tea. Not to mention, it seems more prone to failure in time with its (seemingly) spring loaded design. Constantly opening and closing these can’t be good for longevity. I also don’t like the fact, you have to reach in to put the buds away in this case. Like it’s deep in there so if you have big ogre hands like I do, sometimes you don’t put the buds in correctly. I just really don’t like this case design. Lastly, the battery life. No issues here either. I’d say they’re pretty typical, but what I enjoyed was that it charges pretty quick, both the case and buds! Wireless charging is nice too. So, it sounds good, nice open design, good battery, stays in my ear, and the only thing I don’t like is the case. Not bad, definitely a recommend if you’re looking for something like this!

My first take was that I would be totally stumblebum when having to pull ear buds out of a tiny case then situating ear buds back into a case to charge. But after reading the instructions then pulling the ear buds out to remove their protection stickers, I was surprised at what a genius and easy-to-use design the SKULLCANDY Team had concocted. The buds clip on to the cuff of the ear in a manner that delivers confidence. The attachment is so secure that no matter the motion, no worries about losing your investment. (Rupert Sheldrake's 100th Monkey Effect is now underway.) While hiking, biking, housework, etc, I can feel comfortable that the buds are a tight and secure fit. When listening to targeted audio, surroundings are also audible because of the open-ear clip on design. The case is a rugged cubby, affording a CORDED CHARGING connection and a WIRELESS CHARGING BASE. Thankfully, I have a USB C fast charging block and cord that fits the case. I really thought I'd be stuck in the mud since I do not have a wall charger that receives the short USB A cord included with the kit. Online search indicates newer iPhones are migrating to the USB C standard. Best to maintain grain of salt. Enabling a charging connection for the short USB A cord was not an immediate necessity, especially since my Samsung Galaxy A15 Smartphone's USB C fast charging cord connects the earbud pouch to my most heavily used wall outlet's USB C charging block, among others of the same port around the house. SKULLCANDY does not have a support phone line but an inquiry to the SKULLCANDY Chat link reveals that a USB C cord solution is underway. The tech couldn't tell me whether an adapter would be included with future units or whether a USB C charging cord will be added. In the meantime, Android owners can buy an adapter or use your phone's USB C charging cord or check compatibility with other previously purchased, on hand USB C cords. A real plus is that the base of the pouch enables WIRELESS CHARGING. For those who don't own a wireless charging base, a unit is available at the skullcandy.com site that can charge two devices simultaneously. Good idea to check the base's compatibility with your devices before purchase. When charging is complete, the blinking light at the port remains solid. The pouch's CLIP-ON RING advantage makes the kit wearable for easily accessible storage. Not only do the MAGNETIXED EARBUDS quickly pop back into their charging portals but pairing with my Samsung Galaxy A15 phone was instantaneous! Hassle free, automatic pairing made the earbuds immediately available to listen to SPOTIFY, my youTube updates, et al. As well, no hassle pairings with a second source i.e. TV, laptop, etc, afford easy UI transitions between devices while in use. Founded in 2003, Skullcandy is a very well-respected manufacturer of technology, best known for ear buds, headphones, and other audio products. The latest offering by Skullcandy is the Push 720 Open - Ear True Wireless Bluetooth Open Earbuds. Featuring an Over-the-Ear architecture, considered by some as less fatiguing & more environmentally aware over a long listening experience, but challenged sonically by others, since the transducers are outside of the ears. Battery life is an impressive 30+ Hours, consisting of 6 hours in buds and 24 hours in the case. Push 720 Open is IP67 rated, resistant to Dust, Sweat & Waterproof, a substantial benefit. The charging case is absolutely the most unique feature of these new Open Air headphones. It is a small black bag; squeeze the corners & hold them together to access the charging / storage compartment. While the bag is a novel concept, I found it difficult to place the right & left headphone in their respective positions while squeezing the bag open. The bag is too small an area for my large fingers to navigate. Bluetooth connects easily to my iPhone 17 Pro Max. There are no connection issues. CONCLUSION: The Push 720 Open - Ear True Wireless Bluetooth Open Earbuds sound good, but they have fallen off of my ears & dropped to the ground on several occasions. If I press them closer to my ears, the bass is greatly enhanced, but when I let go, the sound returns to normal. However, I like their waterproof, lightweight design, and how I am not isolated from the environmental sounds with these.

I lead an active lifestyle; indoor, doing daily exercise and outdoor, riding my mountain bike and all-terrain electric scooter. For these activities, open-air earphones are a must as I want to be constantly aware of my environment. The Push 720 Open earphones by Skullcandy accomplish that task very well with all their features, great comfort and good performance. Out of the box, they are easy to set-up with or without the app, however you’ll need to use the app to take full advantage of the many features, customizations and to keep them updated. The earphones sit in a pouch that also serves a charging station. The soft cloth pouch is an original take over the traditional rigid case. I found it to be a bit cumbersome when placing the earphones back but it’s not a deal breaker. They charge really fast and the charge lasts forever. The Skullcandy app is a joy to use; easy to navigate and to customize the earphones to your liking. You get quite a lot to customize from the equalizer, the shortcuts for play/pause/forward, multipoint pairing, the active assistant, picture taking, and a tap function for those with Spotify. You can also reduce the latency for better synchronization when playing games or watching videos. There’s even a ‘Find my device’ feature available directly through my phone. I wasn’t expecting so many features from those small earphones. As for their performance for everyday use, I quickly came to like them. The earclip design clings tightly and comfortably to my ear lobes. During my cardio workouts, I don’t need to worry that they would come off with sudden head movements, and with an IP67 rating they’re not bothered by heavy sweating or water splashes. I have three open-air earphones and the Push 720 Open are the bulkiest. They weigh more than the other two but can still be worn for hours with great comfort. They’re also the loudest and best sounding open-air earphones I’ve come across. They have become my favorite to take along for outdoor activities, even while driving sometimes, as they provide a better and louder sound while still providing excellent situational awareness. Of course, the open-air concept has limitations when it comes to reproducing low frequency sounds and these are no exceptions. The Bluetooth connectivity has been nothing but reliable and the calls are clear and consistently dependable. If you’re an active user who prioritizes situational awareness and looking for quality earphones that are comfortable with tons of features and that will cling to your ears no matter what, the Skullcandy Push 720 Open earphones are a solid choice. They play forever and the wireless performance is first rate.

I had “sport” earbuds a while ago that sat just outside the ear canal to also allow outside sounds in. They sounded poor so I was skeptical about the new batch of clip on earbuds. These Push 720 Opens changed my mind. With a different kind of ear bud, you need a different kind of case. You will either love or hate the unique Push 720 case design. Rather than a clamshell case, the 720’s have a small purse-like pouch with a snap closure to hold the buds and a ring to connect it to a belt loop or backpack. No smart/wear sensor. The buds are held in with magnets and you can see the indicator lights on each of the buds. The Skullcandy buds feel very well built. With an IP67 rating you don't have to worry about getting caught in the rain. Placing these in my ears felt odd for about 20 minutes then I barely felt them. I am able to wear them at work until the battery dies. Fortunately, these do have a quick charge feature. I realized the hard way that there is no ear sensor in these buds so when you take them out, the music doesn't stop unless you put them back in the case. I put them in my pocket for a quick conversation and they played the rest of the ride home. The buds are rated for about six hours and that's about what I get. Putting them in the case for 10 minutes or so after the second warning brings them back to 70% charge. Note, the case does have wireless charging as well as the USB-C port. It's incredibly convenient to just sit these on a charging pad at night and they are ready the next morning. I continue to be surprised at just how good these sound, especially when you can still hear everything around you clearly. I expected there to be no bass at all, wrong again. While these can’t compare to buds that seal in your ear, the bass is surprisingly good. Mids and highs are clear and crisp. The app has an equalizer with several presets and a custom feature you can personalize. Volume wise, these get loud, for me, the louder they are the better they sound. In my opinion, the open ear design allows for a much wider soundstage and stereo separation. For phone calls, the microphones on the 720’s are pretty decent. They have noise reduction to reduce outside sounds. In my opinion these actually sound better when there is some background noise for them to process out. The app allows you to set the button presses to your liking, along with a few more personalization options like low-latency audio and multi-point pairing. Another cool feature these have is the ability to be used as a camera remote. I am really impressed with these earbuds and recommend them.

The Skullcandy Push 720 open ear true wireless ear buds are tiny but mighty. I know that open ear buds have been around for a while, but I have never purchased them for myself before. So, they come within their own black pouch that houses them, which also is the container that they are also charged There is a R and L designated spot for each bud and when you have them in their correct bay, they will magnetically click into place within the pouch. Then you attach the charging cable into the back of the pouch and plug it into an electric source. The pouch comes with a carabiner-style clip so you can attach the pouch to a belt loop on your pants, shorts, purse strap, etc., very convenient for carrying on the go. Beware, the pouch is very small, so you need to keep an eye on its location. So, the most important thing is how easy is it to use and what is the quality of its sound. As I often do, I state that I am a 66-year-old user of this device so my expectations may be different from those of younger person or someone who is very music intensive. However, for my needs they were great. They connected to my Android smartphone easily. They are very comfortable attached to my ears and stay in place, offering me good sound, whether from listening to a podcast's or tv show's dialogue, or music from Spotify. They allow you to pair either individually, or alone. In the end, for me the clip-on wear style is very comfortable, giving the user high sound quality while staying in touch with your my surroundings as I wear them out and about running errands, watching and listening to content on your tablet or laptop in an airport, airplane, wherever. I recommend this item. Just keep on eye on them because of their size and not being connected to a cord can make them easily able to be lost.

These are very different than a lot of headphones I've used and tested. I was drawn to this pair for it's unique design. After using them for a little bit, though, I'm not so sure I prefer this style. That's a fairly subjective opinion and I still think there's room for them even with me, but they aren't my favorite things. Setup was a little more of a hassle than usual. It wasn't a huge thing but connecting them to my phone was a little weird, initially. Then I had a constant random dropout on the left ear so I worked on resetting them and that took a little bit of work too. Eventually, I got them working right. The app is fairly light weight and doesn't make you create an account (which is always a plus for me). There's a handful of settings you can adjust. I found the low latency mode really nice to eliminate latency while playing a game. You can customize what the button on each bud does when you press them 1, 2 or 3 times or when you hold them for 1 second. By default, each bud is the same but the app lets you customize them on a per bud basis which is nice. Multi-point pairing is actually really cool and allows you to connect to pair and connect to two devices at the same time and get audio from both of them without needing to disconnect and reconnect. The fit is pretty nice but it's a little bit awkward getting it right. Maybe you can really get used to it but I haven't found that spot yet. It feels like it takes me a few seconds to find the spot on my ear to wrap the bud around and then situate it properly to get good sound. When it IS situated, it stays put pretty good. It also feels good. There's not a lot of pressure on the ears where it's clipped but it's strong enough to keep it in place. My biggest gripe is just removing and replacing the buds. They're also a little awkward to get out of the nice, fancy carry case/charger too. Sound is... alright. Like many headphones, you can get different sounds based on how they're positioned. These have a really wide range from my usage. I've found it easier to find the sweet spot over a little bit of time but it takes some maneuvering when putting them on. When you get them into a really good position, they sound pretty good. Not the best earbuds I've used for sure, but they sound good enough. If they're off a bit, they sound like they'd work great for audiobooks or podcasts. This isn't a knock on them at all, it's usually the first position I get them into when I put them on and it's mainly just because the actual speaker is a little further from actually going into my ear. This position also offers more awareness of your surroundings. The charging case is really cute. It's a little clutch looking thing. Very fancy. I like it. It's easy enough to put the earbuds away for charging but they're a little awkward to get back out again. Overall, I like the headphones mainly for podcasts and audiobooks. I'm not a huge fan of the sound of these for music. But I do like the comfort for long audiobooks and podcasts, though. If they fall into your budget, give them a wear first if you can.

This is my first time using a Skullcandy product and, although I think it’s a nice product, I also felt along the way that it’s intended for a younger demographic. So be it. The first thing noticeable about these open-ear buds is the case: instead of the usual compact box, they are in an attractive black fabric bag with a clip-ring at the top. Opening the spring-loaded closure, the buds sit in a charging pad at the bottom and are a bit tricky to remove and replace if you have larger hands. It’s an original design that might be useful to some, but for someone like me who likes to carry my earbud case in a pants pocket it’s a real non-starter – simply too bulky. When I went on one long walk I decided to just leave the case at home since I wouldn’t need it to recharge the buds while away, but then when I decided to take them off my ears I had to just put them loose in my pocket. I suppose that I could clip the case to a belt loop but thought that might be a bit dorky, if you know what I mean. Anyway, after removing some stickers covering the charging contacts and giving everything a full charge, the buds power on when removed from the case and go into pairing mode. Pairing from my Android phone was practically automatic and I was ready to go. They support multipoint connections and with an easy button press I put them back into pairing mode and paired them to my Garmin watch. The buds recharge when put back into the case and the case can be charged either through a USB-C port or wirelessly on a charging pad. Clipping them on was not exactly intuitive and it took a few tries to get the position and technique down pat. It helps to use two hands so that one hand can hold your ear stable while the other clips the bud on. The Skullcandy web site has a couple of videos that show how to position them optimally. Once in place they are comfortable and will certainly stay put. You certainly shouldn’t worry about losing one while doing outdoor activities such as running or biking. The part with the speaker nestles in your ear just outside the ear canal and directs sound into your ear while also allowing ambient sounds to come through. This is most useful outdoors when it’s necessary to stay aware of your surroundings. There is of course no sound cancellation features but that would defeat the purpose of the open design. The sound is very good as I tested a number of selections of several types of music as well as podcasts. Control is done with a button (not touch point!) that is located on the top end of each of the modules that sit against the back of your ear. It was a bit tricky to locate them on the first few tries, but like anything, it will be learned with practice and at least it’s a positive click to operate and less flaky than touch points. They respond to single, double, and triple presses as well as press-and-hold. By default, the combos are assigned symmetrically to the left and right buttons but can be remapped using the app. Also by default, there is no defined way to change the volume, which at first seemed like a big oversight until I discovered that the app can easily change that. As mentioned, there is always an app, and the Skullcandy app has some useful features that you should not do without. First off, there are some equalizer functions that let you select among some presets (Music, Podcasts, and Bass Boost) plus a custom equalizer that you can tune to suit yourself. It also supports the remapping of the buttons among several useful functions. Not every combination can be remapped, but you can at least assign something for volume control. One possibly unique function is the ability to map a particular button combo to triggering your phone camera’s “shutter release”. For example, you could put your camera in selfie mode and prop it up against something, then step back for a better pose and press the assigned button to take the photo. Pro tip: take the earbud off and hide it in your hand when doing this to avoid looking strange while holding your ear! Speaking of removing the buds, it’s useful to remember that, since they don’t have in-ear detection, removing them does not pause what’s playing. If you don’t have the case with you, you’ll have to manually pause your music before putting them in your pocket. There is also a button combination to fully turn the buds off without putting them into the case, which can be useful when the case is not present. In summation, I think that this is an excellent product and a good choice especially for active outdoor use, but the limitations of the soft case would keep it from being my first choice among what I have available.
