A: This HP AC adapter should not have any problems with the HP Pavilion dv6 notebook.

A: I don't know. The description gives a list of supported models, but my tm2t is not on the list and it works with mine. It has different sized tips, and uses a three-wire connection (one is a sense feedback of some sort) so it will probably work with any of the newer large barrel connector type laptops. I assume it will also work with most of the older 2-wire type laptops, but I haven't tried it with any of those. The adapter says the output is 19.5 VDC and also lists 5 VDC so I assume the sense feedback sets the output voltage in that range. Hope this helps.
