About this product
LA's Smokescreens began as a couple of pals (Chris Rosi from Plateaus, Corey Cunningham from Terry Malts) paying tribute to the seminal 80s sounds of New Zealand's Flying Nun tag and has grown to be so much more. Since their self-titled 2017 the band has expanded to a four piece and honed their tunes with constant SoCal gigging. Their new album InchUsed To YesterdayInch continues Smokescreen's zeal for New Zealand pop but also incorporates influences from the more melodic side of Messthetics-era DIY pop and expands into classic indie pop territory, a natural fit for the Slumberland Records roster. From the NZ-meets-Athens GA first single InchThe Lost SongInch through the 12-string driven InchWaiting For The SummerInch to the Paisley Underground-tinged closer InchFalling Down,Inch Smokescreens really excel in the quality of their songwriting and their ability to incorporate a disparate set of influences while still forging their own sound and identity.1. 2016 . Enbound was formed in 2006 by Mike Cameron Force [ex-Zonata] and joining him in the Enbound line-up are Swede, Marvin Flowberg and the fantastic vocalist Lee Hunter [Lars Säfsund - Work of Art]. The debut album And She Says Gold was released in 2011 and was received very well by fans and the media. Now Enbound, following the praised debut album finally present their second album, entitled The Blackened Heart. The Blackened Heart has a nice mix of heavy and up tempo songs, all with their own strong and grasping melodies. Enbound prove with The Blackened Heart that they can handle any angle of melodic metal. Like on the debut, their characteristic powerful arrangements remain with fantastic and emotional vocals on top. Jacob Hansen [Amaranthe, Volbeat, Primal Fear] was chosen to master the album, and awesomely did so. Guest appearances on the album includes the vocalist Linnéa Wikström [Kamelot, Therion] on InchFallingInch and Mike LePond [Symphony X] is responsible for the first of two bass solos on InchFeed My FlameInch.

Following up their well-received 2018 album InchUsed To Yesterday,Inch LA's Smokecreens are back with the excellent new record InchA Strange Dream.Inch Produced by David Kilgour from NZ legends The Clean, InchA Strange DreamInch shows a band at the peak of it's talents, ably blending influences like The Go-Betweens, UK DIY indie and pop, and of course Flying Nun into a compelling, compulsive album. From the jaunty pop of opener InchFork In The RoadInch to the rocking InchStreets of DespairInch and the dreamy InchOn and OnInch this is a record that clearly shows a band that knows it's way around a timeless guitar riff and aching pop melody. Gorgeous ballads like InchNighttime SkiesInch and InchI Love Only YouInch add a new depth to Smokescreens' sound, and the cover of Scrotum Poles' DIY classic InchPick The Cats Eyes OutInch is perfect, and perfectly fun. A future classic.1. Fork In The Road2. Working Title3. Streets of Despair4. Nighttime Skies5. On And On6. I Want To Know7. Pick The Cats Eyes Out8. I Love Only You
