Sol Invictus - The Cruellest Month - COMPACT DISCS [CD]

Digitally remastered edition of this album from the Experimental British band. Originally released as solo album by Tony Wakeford in '93, La Croix is nothing less than a wolf in sheep's clothing. Just like the previous reissues, La Croix comes in a limited portrait digipak, featuring enhanced artwork, liner notes by Tony Wakeford and bonus content.

Manifesting superhuman force through near-magic sonic alchemy, HO99O9 consistently break free from any and all creative constraints. The duo, the OGM and Yeti Bones, co-mingle genres like chemicals, mixing gloriously hellish hip-hop, basement-born hardcore, future-facing punk, throat-slitting metal, jarring industrial, and off-kilter electronica into a concoction meant to combust the moment you press play or when they hit the stage. As such, the group has quietly haunted the darkest corners of the culture, peeking out with a series of unanimously acclaimed releases, A-list collaborations, and sold-out tours. In 2025, they make a statement with their third full-length album, Tomorrow We Escape, a 999 Deathkult / Last Gang Records/MNRK debut

Digitally remastered and expanded edition of this 1996 album. Similar to La Croix, Cupid & Death was originally released as a solo album by Tony Wakeford. At Wakeford's explicit request, this acoustic jewel is now re-released under the name of Sol Invictus and is thus made a part of the Neofolk legend's oeuvre. The re- is limited to 700 copies and comes in a portrait- digipak with revised artwork and liner notes. In addition, there is rare bonus material in the shape of the songs from the 1994 vinyl EP Summer Ends (which was also released under the name of Tony Wakeford back then) and the track 'Above US the Sun' in a version that was originally only available on a compilation coming with the 'On' magazine.
