Solomia Soroka - Complete Violin Sonatas - COMPACT DISCS [CD]

Chicago based Ensemble Dal Niente releases Inchconfined. Speak.Inch, a collection of works the group programmed in streaming performances during this past year. Despite the formidable hurdles associated with ensemble playing during the lockdown, Dal Niente presented concerts and took advantage of the ability to collaborate across vast distances. This album chronicles highlights from those events, featuring music by Melissa Vargas, George Lewis, Tomás Gueglio, Hilda Paredes, Igor Santos, and Andile Khumalo that reflects broad geographic influences from South America, North America, and Africa.

?Baritone Konstantin Krimmel, voted 'Best Newcomer' of the year at the 2023 Oper! Awards in Germany and a member of the eminent Bavarian State Opera company since 2021, presents his third recording for Alpha. In close partnership with pianist Daniel Heide, he places his artistry and his feeling for words at the service of the lied repertory. This is also an opportunity to discover his vision of the work, an unexpectedly contemporary, socio-psychological analysis 'Die schöne Müllerin is a work that romanticises the development of a mental illness, and shows, unfiltered, how a young person can feel without a tempered emotional world. With all it's dark sides.'

The forgotten man of Soviet music history, vilified in his day for having aspired to be a 'Russian Schoenberg', Roslavets began his career as one of the most rebellious of all Soviet avant-garde composers of the first two decades of the 20th century.
