Samana inhabit a musical space somewhere between Weyes Blood, Nico, Beach House and PJ Harvey, yet they possess a unique spirit born out of their nomadic existence. Each song is written with it's own distinct weight and significance, born from the interpretation of dreams, the philosophies of ancient rituals and personal experience of love, loss and death. Between themselves, Rebecca Rose Harris and Franklin Mockett are multi-disciplinary artists. Franklin crafts the instrumentation, recording, and production of the music to tape, while Rebecca Rose is the visionary behind the conceptual imagery, artwork, lyrics and film. The process by which all works are recorded is of great importance to Samana, who compose their art in their analogue recording studio and darkroom in the remote mountains of Wales. The album offers ruminations of solitude on the isolation of nature. Each song is a meditation laid to tape, forming an album of a natural order of thought and feeling to take us to great heights. Album Tracks 1. Before the Flood 2. Harvest 3. The Art of Revolution 4. The Sky Holds Our Years 5. Take Me in 6. De Profundis 7. Blue Requiem 8. I'll Keep You with Me 9. Beneath the Ice 10. The Lightness of Being

Sole Soma recalls first falling in love with her native Congolese music as a child, then Caribbean music from her short stay in the Bahamas. In Miami as a teen, she drifted toward the Euro-pop sound and underground dance music scene and eventually fell in love with house music. She most enjoyed music that leaned in a tropical direction which somehow reminded her of her youth. A natural born vocalist, Soma began writing lyrics and music in her late teens and then started performing - first at house parties and then a few select nightclubs, and began to develop a fervent following. A modern take on classic house, the enthralling single InchMoveInch sets the stage for her upcoming full-length InchPleasure No Pressure.Inch Featured along with the new single are 4 bonus mixes including instrumental and acappella versions. Album Tracks 1. Move 2. Move (Extended Mix) 3. Move (Guyzer Brozay's Club Edit) 4. Move (Instrumental) 5. Move (Acappella)
