Django Reinhardt had already established himself as an exceptional and innovative guitarist and regarded as one of the greatest players of all time. His influence can be heard in many genres. Even Willie Nelson has given credit to Django and his unique approach to swing music. His recordings are numerous as he was prolific. He loved to play and as often as possible. These are the best of his electric recordings. Django took a rudimentary approach by sticking a microphone in his guitar, attached to a small amplifier. What an amazing sound he achieved. No modern day guitar can duplicate the sound Django achieved during the years of 1947-1953. On her new GENUIN CD, accordionist Eva Zöllner gathers the leading names of Colombia's younger generation of composers voices that express diversity, creativity, and energy, as well as violence and darkness. In Colombia, the accordion is a popular instrument for folk and dance music, and the CD reflects the traditions of their country in it's range. Sounds of contemporary music, environmental noises, electronics, and seemingly familiar things intermingle in the compositions of Ana María Romano G., Carolina Noguera Palau, Carlos Andrés Rico, and others, creating exciting soundscapes and an acoustic journey into an unknown world. All works were created in collaboration with Eva Zöllner.

Recorded after Son House's rediscovery, these recordings were made at his New York Home. They are Informal yet typically intense and powerful.
