About this product
Son of Stan, aka Grammy Award winning artist Jordan Richardson, returns with Georgia, the follow up to 2013's Divorce Pop. Working again with producer Adam Lasus on their fierce EP, Richardson explores his specific pop aesthetic further, but this time with a more personal focus. InchThis is my journal. These new songs are my depression, my optimism, my wannabe standup act, my fervor and my girlfriend. Arguing with myself in the studio about the creative process, is the most beneficial part of being creative and I think that honesty and insecurity makes for a better experience for the listener, even if they are just pop songs tied up in a neat package.' the more upbeat and even dancey attitude behind Georgia wasn't crafted by mistake either.InchI wanted to have a batch of peppy songs. Atoms for Peace is a new band featuring Thom Yorke, Nigel Godrich, Mauro Refosco, Joey Waronker, and Flea. They came together a few years ago by playing in support of Thom's Grammy nominated album THE ERASER. The debut album AMOK will be released by XL Recordings in four physical formats.
Limited 180gm vinyl LP pressing. Georgia is the 2015 eponymous debut album by multi-instrumentalist, producer and songwriter Georgia Barnes. Born and raised in north west London, the last few years have seen Georgia steadily establish herself as an important fixture in the city's most singular and imaginative artistic circles, playing drums for Kwes and Kate Tempest among others before emerging as an irresistible creative force in her own right with last year's Come In EP. Written, performed and produced by Barnes in it's entirety, Georgia is the product of a young lifetime of voracious music listening - a bold, boundless 21st century amalgam that marks her out as an intuitive curator, distinctive songwriter of real spirit and self-taught producer of soulful, progressive and highly-defined electronic pop.
