The Sonics finally ended their four-decade hiatus in November 2007, with a pair of rapturously received shows in New York. Although the band had intended those shows to be a one-time-only event, word of the performances quickly circulated amongst Sonics fans, resulting in performance offers from around the world, and turning the temporary reunion into a permanent one. Since then, The Sonics have performed for rabid crowds across the United States as well as England, Spain, Belgium, Sweden and Norway. Having reconquered the live stage and built a new, multi-generational fan base, the reactivated Sonics have set their sights back on the recording medium, enlisting noted producer Jim Diamond (White Stripes, Dirtbombs) to record InchThis Is The SonicsInch -the Sonics' first album of new material in nearly half a century-at Diamond's Detroit studio Ghetto Recorders. The 12-song set finds The Sonics channeling their original savage, primal essence on such new originals as InchChaos,Inch InchSugaree,Inch InchBad BettyInch and InchI Got Your Number,Inch while continuing their tradition of audacious cover material with raucous reworkings of Ray Charles' InchI Don't Need No Doctor,Inch Bo Diddley's InchYou Can't Judge A Book by the Cover,Inch the Kinks' InchThe Hard Way,Inch Hank Ballard's InchLook At Little SisterInch and the rousing Motown nugget InchLeaving Here.Inch Album Tracks 1. The self-produced Out Of The Blues finds national treasure Boz Scaggs applying his iconic voice and gritty guitar skills to a set of vintage classics as well as four originals. For the occasion, the legendary singer/songwriter/guitarist assembled a star-studded studio band including such prestigious players as guitarists Doyle Bramhall II, Ray Parker Jr. And Charlie Sexton, bassist Willie Weeks, drummer Jim Keltner and keyboardist Jim Cox, as well as longtime friend Jack Walroth on guitar. Boz Scaggs is an American singer, songwriter, and guitarist. He was a guitarist and occasional lead singer with the Steve Miller Band in the 1960s, and in the 1970s gained fame with several solo Top 20 hit singles in the United States. Album Tracks 1. Limited vinyl LP repressing in gatefold jacket. Off the Wall is the fifth solo studio album by Michael Jackson. It was released on August 10, 1979, following Jackson's critically well-received film performance in The Wiz. While working on that project, Jackson and Quincy Jones had become friends, and Jones agreed to work with Jackson on his next studio album. Recording sessions took place between December 1978 and June 1979 at Allen Zentz Recording, Westlake Recording Studios, and Cherokee Studios in Los Angeles, California. Jackson collaborated with a number of other writers and performers such as Paul McCartney, Stevie Wonder and Rod Temperton. Five singles were released from the album.
