This can be very useful for people who have a lot of various devices consistently using WiFi. The Sonos boost not only helps boost / extend the signal but it also creates a separate individual wireless pathway for you Sonos devices. Works great. Highly Recommend.

I had some connectivity issues in the house due to separate Sonos speakers scattered throughout the house and music would frequently cut off. When I added the Sonos Boost, which creates a dedicated network for the Sonos system, music streams have been stable without drops and cutoffs. Highly recommended for folks with more than 5 Sonos speakers or if Sonos devices are far apart from each other. Very easy to set up. Simply plug the Boost to your router and use the Sonos app to automatically discover your setup. It took all of 5 mins for me!

To start, I have a system with 8 Sonos products scattered across a 700sq/ft apartment, with a lot of network interference from neighboring units and another building of apartments a stone throw away from my windows. I had been having connectivity issues recently (especially with my Sonos home theater setup), and the Boost immediately solved all of my issues. After attempting to reboot/reset and reconnect my system endlessly, I ordered the Boost. Wow! Such a BREEZE with the Boost! I should have purchased one a long time ago.. Strongly recommend for anybody living in an apartment with hundreds of units and find themselves having connectivity issues

I have 10 sonos speakers & two Sonos subwoofers throughout my home. In some areas it was dropping when I synced all my speakers together this eliminated all issues. I have a little over 4,000 sqft and didn’t think this would resolve my issue but it did!!!

We’re a small business Home A/V Installation Service that focuses on practical solutions that are future proofed to a certain degree. Sonos offers ease and practicality with a level of precision like no other. I tell my customers all the time it won’t literally happen but on the level of product comparison; Sonos has the tech and product level that redefines music and could put Bose in their place to out of business. Sonos is to retail shopping what Amazon has done to the world.

This Sonos Boost was recommended by a Sonos rep to help my speaker drop off problem and Sonos network reliability. It has helped and my Wi-Fi performance is better also. The Boost puts all of your Sonos products on a network all to itself.

Perfect for my requirements. I have a very extensive whole home Sonos set up. The Boost was exactly what I needed.

This is really helping to keep my Sub gen 2 from dropping out of my Sonos Arc 5.1 setup, if you’re having connection issues, this is a must have.

I love all of my Sonos speakers but I was running into an issue with my mesh network where, anytime I used a Sonos speaker, it would slow things down. Sonos doesn't include 802.11ac wi-fi with their speakers, some of my older speakers use 2.4GHz 802.11g with some of the newer ones using 2.4GHz 802.11n. Sonos speakers are notorious for having issues with mesh home networks and mine was no different. I couldn't go take a shower and listen to my Play:1 without my wife complaining that Netflix wasn't streaming in 4k but rather dipped down to 480p-720p. I confirmed that the same thing happened when she would use a speaker despite my mesh network not being clogged and the incoming service was 200-250Mbps. I was ready to sell all of my Sonos speakers until I picked up the Bridge. I was looking for it before but all of my stores (and online) were sold out of the old Bridge, I had to wait for the new one. The Bridge works and has made life easier. The setup was easy, I just had to plug it into one of my mesh nodes via ethernet, start the Sonos app, and switch all of my speakers over to the Bridge. I don't have any issues now using my Sonos speakers and other online services. AirPlay 2 still works as it should on my PlayBase and Sonos One units as well. It's a little pricey for what it does, I wish Sonos priced it at $50, but the Bridge is a solution I recommend for people who have mesh networks and/or home wi-fi routers that aren't powerful enough. It creates a Sonos-only wireless connection that reaches beyond what most wi-fi routers will. I have a 3 bedroom, 2 bath house and the Bridge network covers my entire house (it's also three stories), garage, and backyard without issues. I have 6 Sonos speakers hooked up to it (two PlayBases, two Sonos Ones, one Play:1, and one Play:3) and the Bridge shows no signs of slowing down. The white color stands out from all of the charcoal gray and black in my entertainment center though it matches the white of my Google Wi-fi nodes. I recommend this to anyone who is having issues with their Sonos speakers either slowing down their mesh networks or not being able to maintain a connection to their current wi-fi networks.

I will preface this review by saying I am not an audiophile by any means. I enjoy the Sonos system because (to me) it sounds great, it's easy to use, easy to set up and wireless. I purchased the Boost because I'm building a Sonos surround sound system and it was recommended by Consumer Reports to add a Boost to the system to eliminate the potential for lag between the system speakers. Easy to set up and no issues so far.

I purchased the Sonos playbar, sub woofer and this Boost item. Since the speakers are wifi controlled (meaning...not wired to a TV), you need a HUB source for them to connect to. This product is what you need. At $99, it's not really that much more of a stretch than the $699 component speakers. PROS: - Easy to hookup - Holds connection well - Mobile app on iPhone is easy to use and change settings CONS: - An additional $99 that Sonos had to charge - Necessary for any of their components to work

I have had Marantz receiver/amp and definitive technology then mirage speakers for years. I move frequently and the setup, wiring, and wire mess were always a nightmare - but I had a significant investment and could not mentally part with my components. I finally took the plunge and bought the Sonos Playbar, 2 Play 1s, and the Boost. I donated my old hardware to Goodwill the next day. the packaging, the ease of setup, the ease of selecting music or music source, the product build, material, and sound quality, integration with TV and remotes - AMAZING. I have since bought 6 more Play 1s, 1 Play 3, and the Sub. I now have home theater I can pick up and move in minutes, and, much to my surprise, I have music throughout the house, all the time; I forgot how much I enjoyed music. Boost puts everything on its own dedicated network - no interference from other network/internet usage. The only downfall - SONOS is currently privately held. if not, I would be a stockholder.

Although usually challenged by electronic devices this booster took me only 3 minutes to set up and activate. The subsequent alteration in the effectiveness of my Sonos system was instantly apparent and resulted in an indubitable improvement in signal strength and sound quality. It is not often one finds elegant objects that are so effectively functional. Witness the power of a palindrome (SONOS)!

I went crazy and bought a full Sonos system for my house. The sub and sound bar went in the manacle with the PS4 to make a 3.1 system. A play 1 in the kitchen and the master bathroom. A play 2 in the master bedroom and the covered porch, and a play 3 in the living room. Simple to install. Simple to use. Awesome in-depth full bodied sound. Just simply Fantastic! The Sonos Boost extends the range significantly!

With four Sonos speakers placed throughout my house, I needed a way to easily manage them without having to worry about the settings of my mesh Wi-Fi system. The Sonos Boost is the perfect solution. After connecting it to my main Wi-Fi node, my Sonos speakers are now isolated to their own wireless network and are essentially immune to any complications from being connected to a mesh Wi-Fi system. Before installing the Boost, the Sonos app would tell me that the speakers were not connected to the same Wi-Fi network, so I could not play the same content in unison on all four speakers. After doing some research, I learned that this is a common problem with Sonos speakers connected to a mesh Wi-Fi system. The Boost fixed the problem.

I bought this, sound bar and 2 other wireless speakers for my bedroom. I wanted a system I can use for my tv (surround sound) build on and is wireless. As of now Sonos is THE ONLY wireless system to use as a theater AND use as a source of music entertainment. I bought denon helos and I bought polka systems and I had to RETURN them both because they can NOT do what the sonos do. I had to buy this transmitter because it makes the system run smoother on your wireless network.

The Sonos Boost can be used as the main stream source for your speakers like the discontinued bridge did, or you can use it to boos the streaming signal if your wifi network isn't the greates. I've read where some people have had issues with the signal dropping but I'm not using mine as an extender so I can really speak on that. Overall a great product if your building a sonos streamed place.

I had been skeptical about the wireless sound quality but have been EXTREMELY impressed! I have had much more elaborate home $ystems in the past (Crestron), and have been very impressed with the quality and ease of expandability and versatility of set up and use on the fly! Will likely add a few more speakers to our system! A great solution that competition doesn't come close to.

I love the ease of use of the Sonos systems. This Speaker works great, and sounds perfect in a medium sized bedroom. I am still trying to figure out how to use the Sonos system in my living room for both Surround Sound with the SoundBar (excellent Theater sound for a medium sized living room) and then when just listening to music as a Stereo Pair. Have not figured that out yet.
