Family raised on BOSE but felt limited by their current line up. Needed something that can evolve and adapt to needs so Sonos was a chance. And a chance that paid off! Provided beautiful sounds and paired with another Sonos One and Playbase gave us the surround sound we needed with a small footprint. Blends perfectly well without seeking for attention. Wireless, ease of setup, and solid performance warrants the 5 star. BUT Alexa use is less than stellar but not a factor to my rating as Alexa was not my choice of support anyway.

Tested many wireless Speakers. Sonos ranks # 1 in WiFi wireless speakers. Nothing to compare to Boise wireless Bluetooth speakers Sonos has continuously streaming music no interruptions whatsoever I swear by Sonus speakers. That they are # 1 in WiFi wireless Speakers.

The Sonos ones are great, to be honest I feel that they are 100x better than the newest soundbar that has come out for Sonos. The volume is a lot louder, when I have the complete surround sound going, I mainly here the background noise coming from the Sonos ones than the voice from the sound bar, and that was after using the trueplay sound setting.

I bought a pair of Sonos One speakers for my bedroom and 1 for my bathroom. Setup was quick and easy and the speakers sound fantastic! I have these paired with a Sonos Playbase. They can easily be controlled through the Sonos app or directly from the Spotify app. I highly recommend Sonos for a whole home wireless setup!

Very easy setup as a stand-alone unit or as part of a total wireless solution. Great sound in a compact unit.

The Sonos One has great sound and works well with Alexa. It works perfectly as a whole house speaker allowing you to choose which areas you want to play in. You can play the same song in all areas, different songs in different areas or simply play in one area of the house. Speakers can also be paired for a full wonderful stereo sound. The speakers respond to verbal commands (Alexa) or can be controlled using a mobile phone. It is also capable of following most of the Alexa commands that the echo or echo dot can like turning off lights which have smart bulbs or controlling other devices using a smart plug. Commands are usually understood and the speakers are pretty good at hearing commands from a distance. I liked the Sonos speakers so much that I purchased on for my son.

Sonos One was easy to set up. I paired this with another Sonos One. Really enjoy the stereo imaging as it fills the room nicely.

The speakers are very easy to program with the head unit and will adapt themselves to whatever position in the room you put them in via a self scan you assist with which is pretty cool...the sound is good but not great...but fair for the money you are spending

The sound on this is unmatched. The Alexa could use some improvements. I have not figured out how to bridge it with my current amazon show and dots for multi room music, and maybe there isn’t a way. Other then that I have no complaints.

The Sonos One not only sounds incredible but the Sonos app puts all your music services in one place. Alexa makes it even better.

Sounds really good when playing properly. I bought three and I keep having to add them back to the group because they don’t play. For some reason they don’t stay connected.

I can’t believe how I ever lived without this. It is so helpful in so many ways. From letting you know news and weather to how many cups are in a pint. It’s extremly helpful and easy to set up and use.

My husband loves the sound quality as much as I do. By far one of the best! But there are not so many output/connection options. No optical, no Bluetooth, no usb or auxiliary connections.... will be returning these very expensive speakers!

Long-time Sonos owner, here. Love the system, I currently have Playbar, Sub, and two Play:1 units making up my surround sound system. This seemed to be a great opportunity to have an Alexa powered device that I could pair with a Play:1 in my bedroom. Here's my review (please note, I returned this item and no longer own it): The Good: Great Sonos easy set-up. Alexa was rock solid and could hear me, even with music playing. Alexa skills controlled some pretty obscure devices. These speakers may look better than the original gear. Great sound with just one speaker. Good bass, as I have come to expect from the Play:1. The not so good: Customer service was NONEXISTENT! You are constantly pointed to the "community" but the community was ranting about the same thing I was mad about. You can't pair Sonos One with a Sonos Play:1 (WHY would I want two $170 Alexa powered speakers in one room?). Sonos updates tend to wreck your whole system, requiring the components to be added again to the app controller. Once again, I returned this unit. It was a great speaker, but I see no reason to have two Alexa powered speakers in the same room. Best Buy service was fantastic!

Okay, I just got back from visiting a cousin who had Alexa. Their 7 year old liked to direct Alexa to play music to drive mom nuts.... with that said, I was able to hear what the music coming through the Alexa speaker sounds like. The Sonos One can be thought of as Alexa whose sound quality is on steroids. This sounds amazing with great bass and high quality classical coming out superb. It isn't just a WiFi connected speaker for your mobile for instance. But instead it is a high quality sound system that also provides voice controls and can pair up with other Sonus One devices, if you don't mind spending another $200.... Still waiting on full voice support for Spotify. Setup was a breeze that a nontechnical person should have no trouble completing. You're prompted through all the different actions needed. My biggest complaint, it weighs a ton.

The new Sonos One Wireless Speaker with Amazon Alexa Voice Assistant has been my own personal DJ (and bad song saver). We’ve all been there. I’m in the kitchen cooking, hands full, and feeling great when a sad song comes on and just like that…mood change. With Amazon Alexa built right in, I can easily control all of my music with my voice. Gone are the days of having to dry my soapy hands from giving the boys a bath just to change the song in the house all the while praying I don’t drop my phone! I love how it connects with all my existing Songs and I can use them all over the house! I've been waiting for this for a long time and I'm so happy it's finally here!
