This Sony 4K Ultra 55" TV is a great find for its price. It syncs with WiFi with ease and I have been streaming in youtube videos, 4K Ultra picture quality Netflix shows, Amazon on demand shows - excellent picture and sound! The TV is very easy to setup, the instructions are illustrated with easy to follow pictures. I highly recommend this TV for its stunning picture and sound quality!

I absolutely love this TV. Got it cheaper because it was an open box. Clear picture quality, 4K, smart tv with a lot of apps, and great motion rate for for gaming! I haven't tested the TV speakers I plugged in my surround sound system when I installed it to my tv stand. The only negative thing is that it supports android devices and not apple.

Since there are still little options and the digital TV service I used still does not offer anything in UHD yet, I have to say that there is a huge difference in the picture quality being much better than the defective Visio that I had to replace because of it's poor quality. I went on the Sony 4K app on the TV and was amazed by the clarity of the picture watching the 4K previews of movies on the app. The TV also auto synced with my Sony Blu-ray and used the all of the settings inputs, like the internet connection, from it. Really impressed at how easy it was to set up. The TV did all of the work for me with the help of an existing Sony product connected. I do not know what would be different in the setup if no other Sony product exists. The base fits perfectly on top of my Bose Solo speaker, however the TV sound has to be set to PCM so that all sound will go through the Bose. That is a Bose issue not a Sony. The Dolby 7.1 will not go through the Bose Solo. Overall I feel that the Sony Bravia model has always been tops and this particular model Bravia is up there as well.

I have been pleased with the overall performance of my Sony 55"4K tv. I have watched regular programming as well as videos streamed in 4K resolution. The picture and color resolutions are awesome and seem to come right at you. For the price and performance I would recommend this tv to anyone jumping on board with 4K.

This is my first Sony, and I'm very happy with a 55-inch, 4K, UHD, HDR10, LCD/LED set for a sale price of $700 (plus a hefty full-service Geek Squad 5-year service contract.) I'm sure that I can't use full names, but 'Robert' at the Salem Oregon Best Buy was reeeeeally helpful in bringing me up to speed (yes, this is my FIRST flat-panel TV...) I'm not a hyper-cinema guy, but I did need a set with good brightness in a large great-room, loudness until I get a Dolby system going, and a WIDE viewing capability across that large room. I can't imagine how much better the 2 higher-level models get, but this 700d series Sony is just great! 50% volume will blow you out of the room despite what others have said, and the picture, resolution & color do NOT change across the full stated 178 degrees of view... The web's reviews always seemed to concentrate on how deep the colors & contrast are with (limited) HDR content, or how well it upscales HD content to near-UHD... Well, what I was concerned with is actually what is proudly proclaimed on the side of the box (and even the box on the 55" is well engineered for unpacking!): "Upscale Everything You Watch!". I and my Christmas guests were amazed at how much better regular SD programming looks on a screen that is over twice the size of the conventional SD television that it replaced! It used to be that stretching limited resolution to a larger screen gave you a worse picture. Not so with the computer 'engines' in this set. Once you get all the (MANY) settings the way you want, you never worry whether a given channel has an HD version - though I was surprised how many 'basic' channels DO now have HD versions up in the 700's on Comcast... Unlike the higher models, this set has LEDs arrayed evenly across the back of the set instead of using edge lighting on two sides and light-pipes... Originally I liked the fact that this created less concentrated heat on the store model, even though it makes the TV a bit thicker. But really, just how thin does it need to be? More importantly, even without the added contrast benefit of 'local dimming' that they did NOT program into it, I have to say that the brightness is absolutely dead even from corner to corner. All of the Smart TV features are great, from Youtube to Crackle (a Sony/Columbia TV & movie internet channel) to Chromecast-ability... There is another function for cellophones, but with Chrome & "Videostream" on your regular computers you can flash anything on your drive or on the web onto your nice, big hi-def television. However, to be fair, I've yet to find an app for true web-surfing, and I'm not sure if the TV will take a Bluetooth keyboard/mouse... It does work with BT headphones. Well, I think that is it for now. Despite spending $160 on the 5-year Service Plan, I'm hoping & expecting to get many years of pleasure from this television - or should I say this "small computer with a great big monitor"? 80>

We reviewed several brands, We went to the store to see in person and evaluate. After comparing, we chose to leave and ponder. Having always had a good experience with Sony, we went back to evaluate one more model that had wonderful reviews. Cost was a couple hundred dollars more than the one we were leaning toward; made the decision to go with Sony.

This was a relplacement for my sony hd led which got fried in a lightning strike. It got a 55 inch LG 4k at first and returned it within a week to get this. Happy with the picture. Sound could have been better

I've long been a Sony guy but my son just got a new Vizio. I went to my BB store with an open mind. The Vizio has some very cool features but the Sony is still the best picture and sound.

Has exceeded my expectations. Quality is out of this world. This is my first Sony TV and it has set the bar for any other tv I'll ever get or recommend.

I'd been nursing a 5-6 year old Panasonic plasma that was having some ghosting image issues when the thing up and just died. I'm planning for a high-end Samsung 65" Qled curved tv late this year or early next, so I suddenly needed something to "hold" me over. Took advantage of "Fathers Day" sales and got this for $699 :-) I'm absolutely thrilled with the picture. I'm not completely thrilled with the whole "smart" tv aspect of the tv - it can be a bit of a pain to get back to cable/sat from the apps. Gave it 4 stars, not 5, because putting on the stand is a bit of a pain. Instructions aren't real clear. I spent about 20 minutes trying to install the stand upside down. Finally had to resort to a YouTube video.

Needed a 55 inch for my Man Cave Extension. Wanted a 55 inch as I had a 43 inch plasma. This set is crystal clear. The tv speakers are not used as everything runs through my system.

I unpacked it gently, set it up, and turned it on. On the black screen a bright vertical purple line of faulty pixels from top to bottom in one area of the screen. I cannot take it back to Best Buy. Contacted Sony warranty support, spent most of an hour testing stuff. Then I was asked to take several pictures of the fault and model label, and email it to them. A full day later they replied that they would decide in one or two more business days. Assuming they finally decide to honor the warranty they will ship a replacement screen, and that's likely to take another week. The entire process is cumbersome, lengthy, and makes the customer jump through hoops. Maybe I'll eventually get a good TV out of this, but I'm not ever likely to buy another Sony, and certainly not at a place where I can't take it back.

One of the best tv's we've owned. Love this thing.

Sony has become my tv of choice. This tv could not perform better. I shopped quite a while and Best Buy has the best prices. The size is perfect for the placement. Very happy with my purchase.

It never occurred to us to ask about the button controls on the TV and we found this model had none. Only works with the remote. What if it goes bad? And the worst thing, it has NO TIMER! I had purchased a Harmony hub thinking it would work cool with the Sony Bravia and with my Alexa Dot, but the instructions are so complicated I've not figured it out yet and not sure if I can tell it when to turn on and/or off. Unfortunately the Geek Squad that delivered and set up our TV didn't know how to get the Harmony Hub going with it. Hopefully I'll eventually figure it out... and maybe it will work as I need then.
