The picture quality is so amazing and vivid! Some of the things I watch are darker and I’ve always had issues viewing them but I can watch them even in a room with sunlight with no problem

This is one of the best TVs I have owned so far. The built in OS is quick and responsive, and I haven't had any issues with it so far. The picture for native 4k streaming is amazing, and one of the few TVs I have bought where I think the quality matches the "perfect condition" demos the play in the store. The sound is good, but I am not an audio snob so I am not a good reference for this. I think it's sounds good, better than my old 10 year old Roku. The upscaling is quite nice, and I think it's one of the other strong suits for this TV. I have this in a living room and I must say that you want/need good light control with this tv. The glare from light sources bouncing is real, and if you typically watch this in a bright room without good light control, the Bravia 9 Mk2 is much brighter and has some sort of black magic glare coating on it. (but it's even more expensive!) The only reason I can think of going against this is needing to go through extra effort of you watch this in a room with lots of natural sunlight. It would be nice if it got slightly brighter to combat this.

Mind blowing picture quality. Installed the Sony 75" Class Bravia 9 II in the family room and loved it so much, that the 65" made perfect sense for the master bedroom. Complimented it with the Sony Soundbar 7, Sub 7, and Rear 8 Speakers. Beautiful, powerful combo.

Having come from all Samsung tvs in the past, I wasn't sure what to expect when trying a Sony Bravia tv. Reviews for any TV model/brand can be all over the place, however the Bravia 7ii was better than I was expected, and after adjusting settings for a little while, the image for regular TV and movies was exceptional. My only gripe was that the screen brightness was a little low at times, but I believe that is from ambient lighting or some Eco settings.

Thank you for the fantastic feedback, Jeffa!
Switching brands can always feel like a bit of a gamble, especially when online reviews are all over the place, so we are so glad to hear the Bravia 7 II ended up surpassing your expectations once you got everything dialed in.
If the screen feels a bit dim at times, it's usually because of the eco settings or light sensors trying to adapt to your room's lighting, so tweaking those options should help bring back that extra punch!
We really appreciate you giving Sony a shot and taking the time to share your experience with the BRAVIA 7 II. Thank you for choosing Sony!

The TV truly provides and immersive experience and amazing color. I've not owned a TV in a few years and have only ever owned 40" or smaller. The brightness makes it almost feel like it's day in bright scenes in my dark room. I think the most pleasant surprise was the audio, as I expected to need a sound bar to enjoy audio at all. No this TV has good quality sound and is loud enough I worry I'll bother my upstairs neighbors. I'll say my biggest qualm were the instructions as they weren't 100% clear on how you were supposed to mount the TV to the stand. I know most folks just wall mount their TVs nowadays, but in my apartment, I don't have that luxury. So, it needed to be able to stand on my entertainment center.

I wanted to purchase a new TV. I was replacing a 65 inch Samsung that I have had for 8 years. I was interested in OLED and Mini LED. After looking at several different brands I decided to go with the Sony Bravia 7II. I have a very bright great room and needed the brightness the Sony would provide. TV has been a huge upgrade from my old TV. The only thing I am not completely satisfied with is the audio quality. The sound is not great. I paired the TV with a Sony sound bar and the sound is much improved. Hopefully the long term reliability will be there.

Was debating between this and an LG C5, but ended up with the C5. The viewing angles on this are a deal breaker for me. Images look cloudy, dim and not as colorful as when you sit directly in front of this (which is the case for LED RGB tvs compared to OLEDs). Also, it had a big input delay that was very annoying when using my Apple TV (Wasnt the case with my OLED LG c5). When sitting head on though, it was pretty great to look at colors and brightness wise. Blacks and grays are not as good as an OLED either. I do like the idea though that these LED RGB tvs don't get burn in, like OLEDs. I just couldn't justify a similar price for this compared to the LG c5 (bought this 65" open box excellent for $2100, bought 77" LG C5 for $1800 on sale in June 2026)

We appreciate you giving the Bravia 7 II a shot and sharing your thoughts. We know OLED is tough to beat for wide viewing angles and deep blacks, while our mini-LED tech focuses on pushing extreme peak brightness.

Have it set up in our living area as our main tv, does great with plenty of light in the room. Everything about the tv feels substantial and high quality. Definitely needs two people to attach the stand and lift onto our tv console, it was much heavier than our old tv. Setup of the software was very simple and didn't take long.

I went to best buy to purchase and 8 ii OLED not even knowing there was a 7 ii RGB model. They had the two next to each other and it was a tough choice. You can notice the depth and contrast a little more with the 8 ii, but the color of the 7 ii surpassed that for me. The colors are way more true and vibrant compared to the OLED. Blacks even looked as dark as an OLED, I notice zero blooming. Combining this tv with a ps5 pro is exceptional. It gives you many gaming options to get the most out of the console like 120hz and VRR. Plus you don’t have to worry about burn in compared to an OLED especially when gaming on it for hours at a time

Hello Hutgunfish,
Thank you for choosing Sony!
We're honored to hear that you find the picture quality of your K65XR70M2 TV phenomenal. We apologize for the issues you experienced with audio sync and motion blur while gaming. Activating Game Mode can help reduce motion blur by bypassing heavy video processing. If the blur persists, you can also adjust the motion settings by going to Picture > Advanced Settings > Motion and manually tweaking Motionflow or turning it off entirely.
For the audio sync issue, we recommend following the steps outlined in this article: https://www.sony.com/electronics/support/articles/00026069.

I was going to buy the Sony Bravia 8 ii OLED to replace an older Sony top tier OLED that suffered some screen burn in after years of use. The Best Buy salesperson asked about my room and recommended this Bravia 7 ii mini-LED true RGB since it won’t suffer screen burn in and would perform as well if not better in my very bright room (lots of windows). One bonus that I wasn’t even aware of when I bought it was that it comes with a narrow 13 1/2” stand, so I could use it on my existing tabletop tv stand. There are a lot of features and picture modes that required some tuning to get the picture right to equal my old OLED screen, especially for Standard Definition programs. There is also a Cinema setting which tunes to the directors’ actual vision for the film. The vivid setting is too loud. There are also IMAX enhanced, photo, calm, standard, and professional settings. Since I have such a bright room, wanted to get the blacks to be as close to true as possible, and the picture to look like my old OLED, I played around with the tuning quite a bit until I got it right for my situation. My setup for normal TV and sports: I use the Professional setting with the following tweaks: Brightness, max; Contrast (SDR) 90; Gamma (SDR) max; HDR tone mapping, Gradation preferred; Black level, 24; Black adjust, high; Advanced contrast enhancer, high; Auto local dimming, high; Backlight lighting mode, color; Peak luminance, high; Color, 50; Hue, 0; Live color, medium, Color temperature, Expert 2; Clarity: Sharpness, 75; Reality Creation: Random noise creation, Low; Digital noise reduction medium; Smooth gradation, low; Motionflow, off; Cinemotion, low; Video signal: Color Space, auto; HDR mode, Auto You can play around with the settings for any of the picture modes, but it is best if you just choose 1 and adjust it to your liking. You can always reset that mode to the factory settings if you want to start over. The picture quality is amazing. The built-in speakers are supposed to work well, but I use a surround system with a Denon AVR. I am very happy the salesman talked me into saving $400 and going with the latest Sony RGB technology.

Hi Jimmy,
Thank you for choosing Sony!
We're elated to hear that your experience with the Sony K65XR70M2 TV and the guidance from our Best Buy salesperson has been so positive. It’s great that the recommendation suited your bright room perfectly and helped you avoid screen burn-in, while also saving you $400. We're glad the narrow 13 1/2” stand fit your existing tabletop, making setup easier than expected.
Your dedication to fine-tuning the various picture modes, especially for achieving the right balance in Standard Definition and maintaining true blacks, clearly shows your commitment to getting the best viewing experience. We appreciate you sharing your exact settings, it’s helpful for others looking to optimize their TVs in similar lighting conditions.
It’s fantastic to hear that the Cinema mode aligns with the director’s vision for films and that you’ve found the Professional setting ideal for your normal TV and sports viewing. We also understand that the vivid setting can be too intense, so your insights there are valuable.
While the built-in speakers are designed to perform well, it’s great that your Denon surround system enhances your audio experience. We apologize if there were any initial challenges with tuning, but your persistence has truly paid off.
Thank you for taking the time to share such a thorough and thoughtful review. We're here for you if you ever want to explore more features or need further assistance. Your satisfaction means a lot to us!

Colors look incredibly vibrant and natural, blacks are deep, and HDR content really stands out. Movies and shows have that cinematic quality you expect from a higher end Sony TV, and the upscaling does a great job making lower resolution content look noticeably better The Google TV interface is also smooth and easy to use, and having Gemini integrated into the experience is a nice addition. Everything feels responsive and modern, and the overall build quality definitely feels premium I think Sony could improve some aspects of the software experience and make certain settings a little easier to navigate. Overall, though, this is an excellent TV. If you want a premium 65 inch display with outstanding picture quality, great processing, and a polished smart TV experience, the BRAVIA 7 II is absolutely worth considering.

Without a doubt, the best TV I have ever owned, and I’ve owned a number of different brands - Samsungs, Panasonics, Visios, and a TCL. None of those compares to this one. This Sony is in a brightly lit room that gets sun all day long. The colors and definition have no trouble shining through, and they are excellent. In addition, it is very easy to set up, with multiple ways to configure the settings to your particular preferences. The pre-loaded apps should be more than enough for most, and it also works well with a Roku stick. As an added bonus: it comes with an adapter so you can hook up your DAC converter to use your own speakers. All in all, this is a really nice TV. Well worth the money. There is one issue that is somewhat annoying: when using the remote, there is a slight lag from the time you push the button to when the change registers on the screen. Not a deal-breaker, but a bit odd given the quality of the rest of the product.

This Sony TV is truly amazing! The picture quality is absolutely incredible, and the processing is top-notch. It handles everything I throw at it beautifully. I have it set up in my bedroom, and the screen gets incredibly bright without sacrificing picture quality. The only thing I wish was better is the remote. It feels a little cheap and like it could break fairly easily. Other than that, I honestly have no complaints. I can't say anything about the speakers as I have it hooked up to my Sonos sound bar. If you’re on the fence about buying this TV, I’d say go for it—you will not be disappointed! This thing is truly amazing and delivers an incredible picture! One thing to keep in mind: this TV has some weight to it. If you’re planning to mount it on the wall, definitely have two people to help.
