If you need an 85" TV for a wide and bright viewing area, this X95J is an excellent option. Once the local dimming modes are engaged, the blacks are deep, the colors are bright and accurate, and blooming is very minimal... you really have to go looking for flaws on this set. The built in Google TV platform and apps are snappy, Wifi connection is very strong, and pulls in broadcast TV just fine and the online guide is quick. If you have a bright room (we have 2 walls of windows and skylights in the main TV room) and a wide seating area, this is quite possibly the best option on the market right now. Included are a picture of the installation with some art off the web and two images taken at night with all lights off of one of the LG OLED demo YouTube videos. These stills show more blooming than your eyes really perceive while watching in a dark room.

Overall a great tv when watching 4K UHD, IMAX Enhanced, or Dolby Vision content. Still has a bit of blooming but it’s super easy to change between picture modes, adjust picture setting for the best viewing setting all while not having a huge pop up menu covering your movie or show. The quick menu will be at the very bottom. The built in speakers are loud, it has a great wide viewing angle and a great anti reflexive coating. The coating does an amazing job with natural light I don’t close all the blinds in the living room or have to close them all the way. I can’t say the same about lamps or bulbs they still stand out and I have to turn them off. This tv is very fast when navigating between apps.

This tv looks amazing and the picture and sound quality are amazing. Plus we got an awesome deal on the price of the tv. We went from a 70”Vizio to this 85” Sony and the difference is incredible.

I bought this TV and thought I was cursed. I bought 3 in total before I finally got one that worked. The first was delivered, (A few days before Super Bowl) got it unpacked and the screen was cracked (Under the main screen), I called and got BB to come pick it up, but delivery of a new one was going to be too late for the SB, so the morning of the SB I found one in stock at the Canton GA location, and drove 2 Hrs to go pick it up. If I was a smart man I would have unpacked it in the store and tested it out, but noooooo, I drove it all the way home, only to unpack it and find that the screen was damaged on that one too. Guess what, no SB party at my house. Had to call all my guests and rearrange going to a friends house, with a much smaller TV (65")...smh. The next day I called BB and explained to them all the issues and finally got the to come pick up the latest broken one (They gave me $300 discount for the issues) and deliver my last and final attempt at buying this TV, and low and behold, I finally got a good set with no damage whatsoever. I got it all the way unboxed, mounted up on the wall and it was glorious!! I am coming from a 75" Sony XBR-75X850D (2016), and the 10" in screen real estate is highly noticeable. The colors popped, the clarity is the picture is great and the settings menu will allow you to dial this beauty in just to your liking. I researched this TV and compared it to the LG OLED, the Sony OLED, and the Samsung QN 85, & 90A. For the money this gave me what I was after. I did almost go down a model and get the X91J, as it was $1500 cheaper, but in the end I decided to go with the better set with the newer processor. At the time of writing this the 2022 models will be out towards the end of the year, but I think if you have to have the latest and greatest and can stand to pay the price difference, then wait, but if not you won't be disappointed in this set at all. My use case (How I use and time spent) for this TV: Movies/Streaming - 60% Gaming - 30% STD Television - 10% This TV excels al all of the above, and even std TV is upcoverted really well. All in all I love it (Now that I have one without a Broken screen).
