(A few street photag pics I took recently included) The 6100 is a great camera for someone who enjoys photography and wants to take it to the next level. If you have an older camera and want to upgrade to something new. This is a great value! I own several cameras and use the 6100 often. I generally use this for travel and street photography. This camera goes on sale often here at bestbuy. Worth picking up during those times. Compact and travel friendly. Feature rich. Uses the sony E mount system (imo some of the best options out there currently) You can also buy an adapter to emount. And use virtually any manual lens on this camera. Things to keep in mind - this is not a full frame camera, although an apsc - you can still get a lot of amazing photos even for most paid gigs especially for social media. So if you are starting off, this is still a great option. In the future, you can still use this as a b-cam. Great for video (especially for social media/short clips) but not reccomended for long formate video. The 16-50 kit lens is decent, it covers a solid range. Its great if you have good lighting and still better than modern cell phones. Eventually you will want to add more lenses depending on your needs. Not an issie specifically with this camera. Just with digital photographyin general. But would recommend getting an extra battery or two. I own multiple battries for my cameras across many ecosystems. (Sony, leica, cannon, panasonic) So this is not a knock on the 6100. But itll come in handy if you are out all day taking photos and video. Of you are new to the current generation of mirrorless. With most modern cameras there will be a learning curve. I wouldnt say that the sony easier or harder to learn on. All camera systems take time to learn. I know people who prefer other systems. So id reccomend you visit a store and see these in person. Most BB will have this on display.

I love this camera. Such clear pictures from super up close & far, so many different settings. Can be used for portaits, regular shoots, content creating, documenting memories, a flip up screen for vlogging & selfies, & interchangeable lens. I can do it all with this camera. One down side I will say it has a very short battery life. While im recording I keep it plugged it because it will die & its not small & compact so i can carry it in a tiny purse.

I bought this camera for my partner. She is happy with it. It has a good amount of features for dialing in good photos, is easy to use, very compact, great battery, and takes really good photos. Nice camera for the price, much better portability than the DSLR I bought her some time ago. Photos enlarge well, with good details and resolution. Much better than lugging around a DSLR with seemingly superior results.

If you like photography but you’re still in the early stages of learning, this is your camera! It has an amazing definition and it’s super easy to use. I’m a lover of the analogical cameras, and the effect of this camera is a perfect mix of an analogical and a reflex. You can absolutely capture a memory in photos, not the other way around. It has a magical way of seeing moments, people, landscape, pets, and so much more. For the price you’re paying, it’s an AMAZING camera and it’s something that’s it’s absolutely going to last. I got this camera for a Disney trip with my boyfriend, and the photos turned out as magical as I expected. I wasn’t looking for a specific type of camera but after a little research, this was the perfect one and I’m so glad I ended up buying it because you can truly save amazing memories in photos. Also something that is really worth mentioning, it’s the battery!!! It’s SO good, in Disney, a place where I was constantly taking photos or recording, the battery lasted from 7 am till 10 pm, and at 10 pm I was still at 40%! It’s an amazing product for the price/quality you’re getting, and Sony offers a 1 year warranty which is something that I really appreciate and really nice of them. I got an amazing help in Best Buy, and the workers were really nice and helpful. I really recommend this camera and getting it in Best Buy.

I purchased this camera on 10/12/2024, and it has truly become a staple in my life. I take it with me everywhere, and all my friends already know that once it comes out, it’s picture time. I’ve officially become the designated camera girl, and I take that role seriously. This is my first “big girl” camera, and it has exceeded my expectations in every way. It has captured so many beautiful, meaningful moments, and I know it will continue to do so for years to come. It’s very user friendly and easy to navigate, which made the learning curve feel manageable. Anytime I want to adjust settings or learn something new, I can quickly reference the manual or find helpful tips on TikTok. Overall, I couldn’t be happier with my purchase. If you’re looking for a reliable, high quality camera, I definitely recommend this Sony. It checked every box for me.

Man when i first bought this camera, I was thinking it was a small streamer camera. But boy was i wrong! This camera does it all. From photos to digital art. What an amazing purchase

Pulled the trigger and purchased a camera. I was looking for something more compact and not to bulky and stumbled upon this one. I love the body style on this camera , as well as all the feature's. I find it really easy to use and love the quality of the pictures it takes. Very beginner friendly

Absolutely love my camera! I’ve had it for a few weeks now and still learning all the settings, but the pictures come out beautifully. I originally wanted the Canon G7x but seeing as it was sold out everywhere, I looked for the next best thing and this is it! I would say the only downside is that the camera is not compact, but i’m looking to get a smaller lens so it can fit in my purse when i’m going out.

Wow this small camera packs a punch. I got it for my fiancé as a birthday gift and we are both blown away with the photo quality.

I enjoy this Camera ! Its the perfect camera to add to your collection if your starting your camera collection like me. This is a similar dupe of the g7x. This camera is just a little larger in size to hold on to. Im also still trying to figure out some of the settings but the default settings are pretty good. I have had this camera for about a year and on my second SD card. So I love it!

I love this camera! It is amazing quality, with a very easy to understand set up. I took this to my trip to Paris, France and it served its purpose well. Very high definition photos, and i love the fact you can turn the screen around for group selfies. I also used this feature to take pictures of intricate ceilings at the Arc d’triumph

Overall this is a great camera. Im a beginner in learning about camera but what I can say is that the autofocus is very fast and accurate. Takes lovely photos, I really dont like the 16-50mm lens it came with because what i use my camera for is for portraits, saving up to get the 35mm f/1.8( which takes lovely crisp clear photos). I love the way the screen comes out and even faces you when trying to take a selfie. For the price I paid, I must say its a great camera !!!!

Great camera. Easy to use. Takes sharp pictures. Very easy to transfer photos to my phone. Would have bought a zoom lens sooner.

I am a beginner that loves taking pictures of the outdoors. I had so much fun taking this camera out to the park and playing around with it. I did have to play around with my settings as I am new to this and trying to learn the camera but I think my pictures came out great. I love it and I’m excited to really learn how to use it.

I love my camera :’) it’s so fun playing around with the different preset settings and the automatic zoom “button” on the lens is super helpful. I use my camera to photograph tattoos and it creates such great images with the perfect depth. Having a hard time getting the coloring and lighting right, but I’m no photographer so that’s expected

I’m really impressed with this camera. The photos come out incredibly sharp with beautiful color and detail. Even in low-light settings, the images still look clear without a lot of grain. This is a great first camera in my opinion. Solid photos and great quality flash and video. Super convenient now the photos can be transferred through the imaging edge app on your phone. The app is sometimes glitchy but it does work, better than buying attachments to transfer to your phone. It just has everything I need, wouldn’t need to buy any other camera!
