The 3D audio is amazing! My husband says he can hear everything, down to a pin drop. The soundtracks of the games he’s played are crisp and clear. He no longer has to read subtitles. They rest on his head and ears comfortably. The battery life is exceptional and they last for hours before having to be recharged. The boom mic feature, sliding in and out, is terrific. They came with a nice carrying case that the white set does not come with. The new midnight black color adds a beautiful sleekness to his whole PlayStation setup. Sony has gone above and beyond with this headset. When opening the case one may think that the dongle is missing. We made this mistake and went back to Best Buy to exchange them for a pair with a dongle. After checking the new pair for the blue tooth pairing dongle we discovered that it was camouflaged inside the plastic that held the sync/charging cable. We felt entirely silly. Upon arriving home we found the dongle inside the plastic which had been thrown away. So, it seemed relevant to mail Best Buy the dongle. It may seem like something that can be easily replaced until you learn that each headset is paired with its specific dongle during the post manufacturing process. So, if your dongle gets lost or goes out… I foresee some headaches with that issue. We have seen many people trying to sell these dongles on eBay and even Amazon at relative high cost. Do not purchase these as they will not work on your headsets. On the more critical aspect of this review, my husband says that the headset becomes disconnected to the dongle at times and has to be reconnected in a specific way that is a bit wonky. The dongle is a little unwieldy as to how you have to push it into the usb port, especially if you have to go in through the the rear of the PlayStation 5. You have to literally push in on it in order to make it connect to its partnered headset. All in all, he LOVES it.

AMAZING sound quality! Highly recommend setting up the 3D audio feature on the PS5. Clarity is fantastic. Very comfortable headphones. Easily adjustable, fairly durable, sleek design. They don't feel flimsy like other headsets I've owned. Love these headphones all the way around. Battery life is excellent. Charging is easy through both the corded method and the charging dock. Syncing to your PS5 is simple; instructions are provided both digitally and on physical paper. Headphones also come with a convenient, durable, semi-hardshell carrying case. 10/10 would buy again!

The sound quality on this headset is incredible. Crisp highs, deep bass, and spatial audio that truly pulls you into the game. I’ve had the Sony Pulse Elite headset for about four months now, and I can happily say it’s one the best headset I’ve ever owned. From the moment you put it on, the comfort level is unreal—lightweight, soft, and never fatiguing, even after long sessions. Of course keep in mind not every headset is a one size fits all. But Sony clearly made a solid attempt at making an adaptive piece of gear. My ears are gauged about half an inch, I have long hair, and a medium rounded head; the only time I ever experienced discomfort was when I decided to do a long gaming session while wearing a SnapBack. The sound is where this headset truly shines: Sony’s 3D Audio creates an incredibly immersive environment. Footsteps, gunfire, rainfall—you feel it all. The detail is so rich that I catch things I used to miss entirely. Mic quality is crisp and natural, making party chat and voice calls clear without any robotic tones. My friends instantly noticed the difference. The build feels premium and the magnetic charging dock is a convenient plus—just drop it in, and it’s always ready to go. Battery life holds up through marathon gaming weekends without issue, and switching between PS5 and phone is seamless. You could even opt to have both connected simultaneously. That said, it’s not flawless. The USB-BT receiver is sensitive to outside frequencies when more than two devices are nearby. Occasionally, this causes a brief disconnect or mic dropout. The quick fix I’ve found is to temporarily switch your mic output to the controller, then back—it resolves it every time. Also, the microphone hardware feels delicate. The mute button can get stuck without showing the red light indicator, which cuts off your mic without you realizing it. It’s rare but worth handling gently. Even with those small quirks, the Pulse Elite has been an absolute game-changer for my setup. The audio depth, comfort, and sleek design make every session feel cinematic. Four months later, it still performs and sounds brand-new.

Great headset. I dont experience any lag and i play FPSs and extractions where every spund detail matters. Great battery life and blocks out almost all sound! Never had any issues with bluetooth and i love that you can pull the mic in or out for solo or team play but mic works well either way.

These headphones are excellent for gaming and 3D audio is superior to any surround sound speaker set up that I’ve used. They are very comfortable and sit very well on the ears, so I can wear them for hours at a time. I also paired them to my phone and I think they provide better sound than my Solo 4’s do. Had a little bit of an issue with them cutting out, but it was because my router was too close to my PS5. I used a USB extension to get the dongle away from the router and have had no more issues. Also, they come with an awesome travel case.

These headphones are really good. Sound quality 3D audio. They finally got the cushions right? They're nice and soft. They don't shred the hook that holds them onto the wall so you can just hang them up when you're done and charge them. It's great. Battery time on the headphones is great. The only flaw the biggest flaw is their durability. The plastic fat holds the headphones together when you pull them off your head. It's not secured. It's weak and as you continue to take them off your head, one of the sides will eventually snap within a month. 2 months, 3 months tops. So if you buy them, make sure you have Best buy's protection plan. That way you just replace them when they break.

Magnificent color and product from Sony PlayStation. There's really not much of a difference between the white and black ones. You are getting the same product with the amazing planar magnetic drivers and then great gaming audio file which makes your games more immersive cuz for example in Call of Duty you are able to hear any flies with details when you're running next to a dumpster or in any of the Horizon games such as zero Dawn or forbidden West you're able to hear noises everywhere in your surroundings with the planar magnetic drivers. Now, the only difference thing you get here is that the midnight black ones do come with a carrying case, which makes them a better buy for your buck. Are they worth it? Yes, and no at the same time. There is other headsets for this price or a little bit more expensive. That are more sturdy and are not subject to breaking apart, please I got them for free only because I have warranty and I'm a total Tech member. So I did a warranty exchange because my white and black version were falling apart down the middle between the ear cups and the headband which it was getting unglued. Other than that I'd say they are worth it. If you want that 360 experience with the planar magnetic drivers in play and you won't regret your purchase because over the white ones these come with a carrying case which make them an amazing buy and I do recommend them for your gaming needs on the PlayStation 5 and what makes them even better is the fact that you get a retractable mic that will work. Wonderfully when you are speaking in a party or the in-game built-in chat or even if you do streaming on Twitch viewers can hear you clearly because a microphone is wonderful and well designed

Let me just say if you play ANY FPS this headset is a game changer. I can hear people approaching from behind and have plenty of reaction time. I got a dub in Warzone purely because of this last night. The quality is very nice however the charging dock needs to be mounted and feels like it could be better but works, and it’s fast charging. Love that. Another fun fact is you can switch from ps5 to any linked blue tooth device whether that’s your phone or pc seemlessly. 10/10 I switch between my 90 inch Sony tv and my g16 zephyrus gaming laptop. Great for streaming or switching between tasks with whatever I’m doing (picture of my gaming desk attached)

Got it as a gift and it's great. It can connect to the PS5 and his phone at the same time, so now he can answers everytime I call. It also came with a sweet case.

Great sound, great Mic, not good for people with big heads. No adjustment and constent on and off leads to crack of hardshell. Small heads must buy for ps5.

These are some of the best sounding headphones I’ve ever used. Works great with the Sony ecosystem. Only complaint is they do start to hurt my ears and head after about an hour of use. Other than that they’re great for gaming and media consumption.

Great sound, feel great, broke in half literally at 2 months.

Great sound. Very comfortable. But the head band broke with in three weeks this is my second pair. Trying to navigate the Sony warranty is impossible. Don't buy it if you are a every day gamer
