Sony - SA-SW3 200W Wireless Subwoofer - Black - Open Box - Good

I recently purchased the new BRAVIA Theater Bar 8, and even some reviews say that the bass response of the Soundbar alone is great, it didn't convince me enough, not for my taste so I needed to add a sub. I have read many reviews of the larger SA-SW5 as the best sub option so I was a little skeptical about the SA-SW3. For my surprise, this little fella (well, not too little) really did blow up my expectations. 200 watts of power is good enough for my new place. Set up was really easy, truly plug and play and the frequency response is awesome in my opinion. I am very happy with the SA-SW3 subwoofer, I highly recommended it for small to medium size rooms.

The 200 wireless subwoofer is an awesome product. It works seamlessly with my Sony STR -AN1000 receiver. Easy to pair and calibrate with awesome power. This gives me the sound I have always wanted. It’s paired with my 26 year old Bose Accustomass 10 wired speaker system . Please note you need this wireless sub to properly calibrate your wired Bose system which has an integrated Subwoofer . The one star review is only for the return SA 300 to the Houston Texas Willowbrook Location as it was the size I needed for the amount of money it cost! The CS representative had to get the assistance of his manager who either was familiar with their return policy or she was racially profiling me. I had returned a nearly $1000 Bose sub to a different location earlier that week as you need a Bose sound bar for that to work. The return of the Bose was seamless. Nevertheless, I finally got the right Subwoofer for my system. BB online ordering and delivery is remarkable.

I have the A5000 and rear RS5 speakers running with my 65” A80L. It’s really a great setup with powerful sound. I’m in an apartment, so super booming bass isn’t really an option. I thought I would try the SW3 hoping it wouldn’t be too much and actually, it’s really perfect. When the subwoofer is synched with the A5000 it opens up a wider range of bass control with the remote. I also notice the soundbar definitely seems to focus more on the voice and highs when not having to include bass as well. I’m really happy with it and I got a great open box deal. I think the sale price for a new one is worth it too, I just got lucky. I would definitely recommend this subwoofer.

Nice that it’s wireless. Easy setup paired with Sony tv and sony soundbar. Not as heavy on the bass as I was expecting but does the job. Would have been nice if price was more competitive. Fits under the tree.

Sony soundbar systems are pretty good. I mean, everyone has their favorites, but for me, Sony sound systems have always hit high marks. I added one of Sony's HTA3000 soundbars to an upstairs loft area that was smallish in size. For that area, I didn't think I needed tons of sound, but after the setup, I was a bit underwhelmed at the perfomance of the soundbar. That is until I purchased and paired the SA-SW3 Wireless Subwoofer with the existing bar. Wow, what a difference! The highs seemed higher and the lows, well, they were certainly more pronounced. I’m pleasantly surprised at how much this subwoofer has improved the sound of the whole sound system. I highly recommend that you do the same.
