I've owned this for a couple of months now and it's great. The 2 batteries make for long shoots. I can do very long 3000+ shot time lapse. If I'm not using a tripod it's easy and comfortable to switch from landscape to portrait. I wish it came with some kind of tripod mount for portrait, but this wasn't expected. It wasn't working very good at first, as far as using the grips controls, but after updating the cameras flash it's been working perfect.

All I can say is wow! I couldn't have asked for a better battery grip. After switching over from the bigger Canon bodies a few years ago I missed my battery grip very much. Sony.. you guys are expensive but this thing is made to perfection! I absolutely love using it when shooting with my bigger lenses, it makes the whole experience way more comfortable and balanced. I couldn't recommend this grip enough! :D

Well built and matches my a7iii's aesthetic perfectly. I mainly use it when shooting sports with my 70-200 2.8 lens. The grip makes shooting vertically more comfortable and reduces fatigue. I remove it when a grip isn't needed. It's easy to quickly install and remove. If you shoot vertically a lot, especially with heavier lenses, this is well worth it.

Love the dual battery access however with the new Z battery I have been able to shoot all day long without the need to tap into my second battery. I love the extra grip when I am walking around however I feel the device adds unnecessary bulk when using tripod/monpod.

The Sony alpha cameras feel like toys in my hands (even though they are anything but a toy). By adding the Vertical Battery Grip the camera begins to feel like a pro camera which is easier to hold steady, allows for vertical shooting and controls and of course, extra battery time in the field. It is a win win.

This makes holding the A7iii way more comfortable and the battery way better! Great for shooting portraits and doesn’t add too much bulk since Sony cameras are compact anyways. It is a little expensive just not have to change the battery.

Excellent battery grip for my Sony A7R III Mirrorless Camera. I love it because the extra battery in the grip is very useful and necessary because the camera eats up the charge fast. Plus the grip adds area and creates balance to hold camera steady. Camera is too small without it. Worth it.

I purchased for my Sony A7r III. It is a perfect match as the A9 and A7r III are of the same body. I love the feel of this grip. I have long hands and this grip helps improve the feel and touch on the small A7r III camera body. Nice to have the second battery, but the new Sony Z batteries last a long time anyway.

First out of the box it’s beautiful and meshes well with the camera (Sony A7iii). The battery life span is amazing already, and when you add the second battery you are adding days to your usage. The additional grip is great if you have medium to large hands. The buttons on the grip mirror the top of the camera so functionality is great.

I use this grip for photography. The extra buttons that this grip has really makes it easy for me to capture photos from all angles. Even though the Sony A7III batteries are great, I love having two of them just incase a session runs longer than expected. This is a must have!

I've bought a lot of camera stuff in the past, this is my first battery grip. I actually use this. It evens out the weight to lens and easier to hold for vertical portraits. I've gone a few shoots without camera dying on me. Downside is it makes camera so much heavier and it doesn't fit in a regular camera bag.

.Amazing addition to my sony a7iii. The grip feels great in hand, and give it a more professional look. The extend battery is great. I would recommend this to any photograph

I was kind of on the fence if I even needed this or if it was more of a impulse buy buy I tell you it is a MUST HAVE! It changes the game. Very good quality, Expands your battery life, and makes your camera very comfortable to hold.

From the moment i bought my camera, i was looking for this grip. Finally after getting this from BB i am very happy with the product. Perfect for taking portrait pictures and the locking mechanism on the teigger to avoid mishaps is a welcome feature. Overall, i am very satisfied with the product and the plus side of this purchase is that i got it on Clearance pricing which can't be beat by any means. Love it! But, if i have to pay retail price for the item, i may need to reconsider.

The only thing better than the A9 battery, is two A9 batteries! The NP-FZ100 was designed to meet the consumers complaints of short battery life of the other alpha cameras. The other day i shot about 2000 photos with a power zoom lens and by the time i was done battery was at 82% - Just 1 battery. The vertical grip allows you to add 1 more battery and gives you an extra shutter button should you need to rotate camera for picture. This is a functional accessory, if you need it buy it. There are cheaper alternatives but if you shell out a couple of grands for the A9 you should stick to OEM products designed/manufactured by Sony for the A9.

I bought this for A7RIII, not because I wanted the extra batteries. But because I wanted to effortlessly switch between landscape and portrait. I don’t see how people can go without battery grips

Other than extended battery life you get more customizable buttons and the grip is perfect and gives the feel of a DSLR for those who are used to holding the Nikons and Canons DsLR.

The second battery comes into play for longer shooting times, and the ability to shoot vertically enhances my ability as a photographer. Feels good and works well.

This is great! Use all the time. More to hold on to when using my larger/heavier lens. Love the double batteries and easier way to shoot portrait mode.
