Sound of Freedom - DVD

This 12-chapter serial based on the popular comic strip by Fred Harmon, has the proverbial theme of good vs. Evil as Red Ryder (Don 'Red' Barry) rounds up other ranchers like him to fight crooked banker Calvin Drake (Harry Worth) and his chief henchman Ace Hanlon (Noah Beery). It is the case of honest landowners being pushed off their lands by any means possible... including intimidation, and even death. Don Barry got the nickname InchRedInch from the character he played in this serial, and it stuck with him throughout the rest of his career. Though he made only this one serial, it lead him to a career in Westerns and features that spanned forty years.

Homeland Security agent Tim Ballard (Jim Caviezel) felt that his efforts in busting child-pornography traffickers did nothing to rescue a single minor from predators. Managing to sting and arrest the procurer of a Honduran boy (Lucás Ávila), Ballard makes a promise to free his sister (Cristal Paricio) as well-setting him a perilous trail into a Colombian rebel camp. Fact-inspired sleeper hit actioner also stars Mira Sorvino, Bill Camp, Kurt Fuller, Eduardo Verástegui. 131 min. Widescreen; Soundtrack English.
