About this product
So, if you're in the lucky position of being able to celebrate twenty-five years of being a band, how should you mark that milestone in style? Well, if you're Dundee's legendary lo-fi indie-pop band Spare Snare, you get in touch with legendary record producer Steve Albini - You ask him if he might be up for co-hosting a Scottish Engineers' Workshop with the band, and recording (a word Albini has always seemed more comfortable with than producer) Spare Snare for the rest of the week.Fortunately, for both the band, and for us, the answer was a definite yes. Creative Scotland stepped in to fund it, the band got to record ten songs with Albini from their back catalogue, and we, the listeners, get an album that stands strong in it's own right. To top it off, the album was recorded at the legendary Chem 19 studios in Hamilton, where a number of legendary Scottish indie acts have recorded (including Delgados, Mogwai and Arab Strap).Action Hero / I Am God / Super Slinky / Hope You Never Go / Grow / We Are The Snare / Photograph Me Properly / And Now It is Over / Smile It's Sugar / Bugs

Frances The Scaners are ready to take off with their debut LP which takes the listener through a darker, slower wave that Louder Than War Magazine describes as a swirlingly mesmeric menace of guttural growls backing a looming snarl over a dark driving rhythm. The Scaners time is now! They're ready to launch their sonic full-scale abduction of planet Earth. With extraterrestrial titles like Checkpoint Planet, No Place In Space, We Want To Talk To Your Leader and Flying F**k, this album is certainly not from the traditional, third-dimensional garage-punk reality. Yes, it has the mainframe DNA of The Ramones and The Dickies, but draws heavily on classic fourth-dimensional synth spirits like Devo and Suicide, coupled with modern acolytes like The Spits and Useless Eaters. The group, in their short tenure have shared the stage with the likes of The New Bomb Turks, UK Subs, Frustration, Ausmuteants, Zeke, JC Satan, Los Pepes, Les Lullies, and Royal Headache.a1 Abduction a2 Spacecraft a3 I Don't Want To Go a4 Checkpoint Planet a5 The Dries a6 Enjoy Your Flight b1 Place In Space b2 We Want To Talk To Your Leader b3 Video Tape b4 Flying F**k b5 Modern Fissure b6 Levitation Train 2077 Album Tracks 1. Parsley Sound's was the glorious debut album for Mo Wax by Parsley Sound. The album was one of the iconic tag's final releases before it closed in 2003 and locating a clean copy has been extremely tricky of late, unless you're flush enough to drop 150 notes on it. Mercifully, the Be With reissue, put together with invaluable assistance from the group, should remedy this situation. Album Tracks 1. Ease Yourself and Glide 2. Twilight Mushrooms 3.
