Spartacus: The Complete Series - DVD [13 Discs]

I am not equipped to comment on the historical or cultural accuracy of the Starz series Spartacus. However, I feel completely comfortable recommending it for its entertainment value. I found the story lines compelling. Just when you think the villains—and there are many villains—can’t get any more devious, they do. The picture and sound quality on the DVD edition of this box set is phenomenal. In addition, for each episode, there is a recap of the previous episode, a feature I appreciate. I’m not wild about the packaging, however, because the DVDs are stored in a book of sleeves rather than standard-style cases where they snap in place and have less chance of getting damaged. Nonetheless, I highly recommend this series and this incarnation of the box set.

INCREDIBLE! Everything is phenomenal about this movie! The action. The twists. The inclusivity. I watch it during the day with my speakers at high. I seriously can't turn away from the action. However, some of the Shakespearean and multiple names can get distracting so it's good to put on the subtitles. I still love it!

Excellent acting & action dvd! I highly recommend this action filled Stars TV series as it will keep you on the edge of your seat.

Excellent story with great characters. Even with a low budget and the occasional cheesy dialogue, this is a very entertaining series. At the time I bought it for $65 at Best Buy, Ama$on was selling it for $110!

this is a great series and well worth the time and money to watch. The action is great and the fight scenes rock. It is a worthy addition to your DVD collection.
