Speckmann Project - Fiends Of Emptiness (Black Marbled) - VINYL LP

FOR FANS OF MASTER, MASSACRE & DEATH STRIKE. 30 years after the debut album was released Speckmann Project returns with a crushing sophomore offering entitled InchFiends Of EmptinessInch. A true pioneer of extreme metal, Paul Speckmann co-founded Master in 1983. Two years later the band dissolved, and Deathstrike was formed after a failed search for a guitar player for Master! First Deathstrike, and then Master recorded their influential demos respectively! Three decades have passed and now the time has come for a much awaited follow-up album, this time in collaboration with Swedish death metal-savant Rogga Johansson, known from Paganizer, Ribspreader, Revolting and a myriad of other bands. So what inspired Paul Speckmann to do a second Speckmann Project album in 2021? InchRogga felt that the many collaborations we did with the Johansson & Speckmann project were sadly not given the attention they deserved. Rogga and I have recorded several excellent albums together that have gone mostly unnoticed by the general public! So maybe the press as well as the fans would relate better to the Speckmann name aloneInch, Speckmann reasons.

Emerging with a labyrinthine work of creativity constructed with an intensity both unrelenting and precise, Voidceremony return with their signature sound, an abstract and scathing zone of musical obscurity rife with cynicism toward humanity. Abditum, the third full length album, unfurls with a sense of arcane design where twisting riffs clash and converge in unforeseen sequences. Composed by Wandering Mind (aka Garrett Johnson) the otherworldly riffing spirals into altered shapes, conjuring tones that veer between luminous clarity and abyssal murk. Joined in the darkness by guitarist The Archonoclast (Jayson McGehee), Dylan Marks on drums and bass co-conspirators The Great Righteous Destroyer (Damon Good) and The Absent Deity (Ben Ricci), in tandem they create a cacophony of hellish jazz-inflected discord and unpredictable texture; every composition a descent into shifting caverns, where sudden openings reveal hidden pathways only to close again with finality.Existing within an unawakened mind, contemplate a journey through the landscapes of Abditum, a region replete with the harmonies of the spheres and ever evolving chaos. These elements create a world that is alien yet meticulously considered. Voidceremony once again resists easy grasp, demands immersion and rewards repeated exploration, materializing new contours perpetually.

Spectral Voice's Sparagmos unfolds as a momentous second full-length offering under the banner of Dark Descent Records, marking the culmination of a period devoted to katabatic immersion into the material. The title itself, alluding to the Dionysian rite of being torn limb from limb, sets the stage for a profound exploration of life, death, and the untamed essence within.InchThe content of the album oscillates between lamentation and exaltation. An immersive, morbid atmosphere of funereality longs for the liberation of death and mourns the agony of life. Coupled with moments of frenetic madness, grandeur, terror and ecstasy, the point we are trying to get to is the moment in which-through sacrifice-atavistic wildness is unleashed, and the ultimate exaltation of life through death is realized,Inch reflects drummer /vocalist E. Wendler. Influences drawn from the esoteric realms of death, black, doom metal, dark ambient, and arcane literature converge to shape Spectral Voice's most realized manifestation. Featuring the sonic prowess of M. Kolontyrsky (guitar), P. Riedl (guitar), and J. Barrett (bass)-also of Blood Incantation fame-alongside the drummer / vocalist E. Wendler, Spectral Voice weave a sonic tapestry with a level of excellence that surpasses even their own formidable standards. Sparagmos unquestionably stands as a definitive death metal highlight of 2024.
