About this product
2012 sophomore album from the acclaimed British Soul/Hip Hop singer/songwriter. Speech Debelle is special. Soulful and raw, she blew up seemingly out of nowhere and delivered one of the most critically-acclaimed debut albums of the last few years, the Mercury Music Prize-winning Speech Therapy. Two years on, having ridden a rollercoaster through life since, she's back, and she's delivered a follow up that packs a powerful punch. If we see her first album as a confessional diary of trials and tribulations, then Freedom of Speech is outward-looking, high energy, powerful and engaged.

2009 . Speech's sound has been received as urban pop, and she's drawn comparisons to Lily Allen and been called the lovechild of Biggie Smalls and Joanna Newsome. The childlike quality of her voice belies her often dark lyrical subject matter.
Limited red colored vinyl LP pressing. Cat Clyde's fourth album finds her at a transformative point in her life. Produced by Drew Vandenberg (Faye Webster, S. G. Goodman), Mud Blood Bone meets at a sonic crossroads - the rockabilly grit of Sierra Ferrell melding with the evocative folk rock volatility of Big Thief - as Clyde charts a long journey to reshape the meaning of love in her life. It's a messy, and unabashedly human, pursuit that she presents with irresistibly relatable honesty.

Swedish post-punk outfit Makthaverskan return with their highly anticipated fifth album, featuring the focus track Wonat Wait. Propelled by driving guitars, it channels the urgency of breaking free and taking back control. Makthaverskan have earned praise for their fiery live shows and are known for their blend of jangly dream pop, emotional intensity, and Maja Milneras unmistakable voice. aœthin but strong, hitting a violent edge as easily as the flick of a butterfly knifeaa (Pitchfork).
