Spiritual Front - Rotten Roma Casino - COMPACT DISCS [CD]

Double silver and black colored vinyl LP pressing. Rotting Christ have stood the test of time. 'Rituals' is an album that has obviously been written by veterans. The Greek legends inject a 27-year career, 12 albums, and more than 1.200 shows into their songwriting. With confidence and skills derived from experience, each song represents it's own sonic universe. Guitarist / vocalist Sakis Tolis and brother Themis on drums achieve a perfect balance of amalgamating their classic and unique style of riffing and rhythm with exciting new elements sprinkled in to keep their material exciting and fresh. Carefully chosen guests are being added for better effect, not name dropping such as the spoken words of Nick Holmes (Paradise Lost) on InchA Voice Like ThunderInch or SAMAEL's Vorph mesmerizingly quoting from Charles Baudelaire's InchLes Fleurs Du MalInch throughout the song InchLes Litanies de SatanInch. Goosebumps moments such as these are liberally sprinkled throughout the record, which manages the feat to sound rock solid and made out of one heavy piece as well as diverse and far ranging at the same time. The experienced is enhanced by Jens Bogren's equally clear and transparent yet also massive as well as sombre mix and mastering at his widely renowned Fascination Street Studios (Amorphis, Borknagar, Moonspell, Devin Townsend, and many more).

From 2015-2017, in the midst of an historic creative high, Zorn wrote and recorded no less than six CDs of music for Simulacrum, his most powerful and intense 21st century ensemble; the music then became a project for live performance. This con- cert from July 2019 finds the band at their blazing best, performing compositions from four different Simulacrum releases. No one blends metal and jazz quite like Zorn (he's been doing it since the late 1980s) and these mind-bendingly intense per- formances will leave you breathless. Beautifully recorded at Firehouse 12 in New Haven and lovingly mixed at Bill Laswell's Orange Sound by James Dellatacoma this is a hyper powered stop-on-a-dime live performance by three virtuosic musical maniacs. The Illusionist * Ghost Sonata * Ravens * Alterities * Danse Macabre * Plague * Dark Pageant * Angelic Voices * The Divine Comedy

Gatefold LP (gold vinyl) with printed inner sleeve and protection sleeve (300 copies available). InchRotten Roma CasinoInch (2010) is the follow-up to the seminal InchArmageddon GigoloInch album (2006). The album presents the band's unmistakable style suicide pop with melancholic melodies, stirring guitar chords and emotional vocal parts. But InchRotten Roma CasinoInch goes even further The band has reassembled their tried and tested ensemble, including chamber musicians from Ennio Morricone, and once again set off a firework of hits. The album title refers to a metaphorical, decadent Rome of wonder, monstrosity and passion, akin to Fellini's InchRomaInch. On InchRotten Roma CasinoInch Spiritual Front deliberately shed their underground roots and create their own variant of morbid folk-pop, which combines indie rock, neofolk and tango into an intense, heartbreakingly sincere mixture. The album is a fresh, original and musically mature work, uncompromising yet catchy, sweet yet disturbing. Tracklist 01. Darkroom Friendship 02. Sad Almost A Winner 03. My Erotic Sacrifice 04.
