    Black Residue in Inner Pot

    This hot eater dispenser has a beautiful exterior and it is a good size. However it leaks black residue into stainless steel inner pot. I have to clean it everyday to rid of the deposits. In addition the “dispense”button is cracked. Sad that I have to return this product.

    Great product

    Best purchase of the year so far. I purchased this hot water dispenser t for my wife for quick preparation of her tea and oatmeal. She loves it! Now I use it just as much as she does. Great product! Great price!

    Good for use of a small family

    The unit is good for hot water use of drinking and cooking of a small family. The unit is easy to operate, good looking from outside, and the spinning bottom is convenient. The long lasting quality of stein steel interior needs be validated.

    works as expected

    Works well. However had to use vinegar to get rid of the smell. The lid should have been removable. When I open it hot water gets on the hand and dumping old water is tough without burning yourself

    Almost Perfect

    Love the temperature to which this heats water. Perfect cup of tea. Takes a little while to boil, but not too long. Biggest worry is a big one: no on/off switch. Must be unplugged. Huge issue since I bought this for work. Would get another for homenif I can find one with an automatic or timed shut off. Definitely almost perfect.

  • Pre-set Temps?Can we choose or set how hot the water gets (ex. 195, 208, or 212 degrees), or does it only go to the boil (212)? Thanks

    not on this kettle. on other kettles those features sometimes backfire as the temperature gauge gets plugged with hardness deposits and does not reheat the water correctly.

  • What temp does the water get? When dispensing , isn't there a risk of burns if you put a cup underneath it, as it has a distance to travel to the cup. Also can you explain dry boil feature and what that would be used for?

    Haven't measured it, but the settings are for 208, 180, and 140 deg. F. All of those can cause burns. And after the heating has just finished the water is boiling (near 212F/100C) so until it drops to the set temperature it can cause serious burns. Handle with appropriate care. The water isn't pumped out fast enough to splash much, though. The dry boil feature is protective - so you don't overcook the machine or cause a fire with no water in it.

  • I bought this dispenser for use on the Jewish Sabbath. Once it has boiled, how do I dispense water without connecting with the electrical component?

    Take the kettle off the base. The water will stay hot for 15-20 minutes. But why wouldn't you boil the water before sundown and put the water in a thermos?
