I will spare posting an overly-verbose critique of these two films, given that true, die-hard Star Trek fans (or Trekkies) all have their own passionate opinions about each of the Trek films (12 so far, with a 13th coming up). I would like to focus, however, on the practical side of having the movies released on DVD in pairs, as "Double Features," comprising two discs in one box. I have nothing against the Boxed Sets, per se (such as The Original Series Cast Set and/or The Next Generation Cast Set), but they can be quite pricey, whether online or on retail. Given my earning vs. spending capacity, buying them semi-piecemeal like this, usually every other payday, makes more sense. After almost three months, I have already completed all of the first 10 movies. Of course, for the first two Re-Boot films with the new cast, I have these as individual DVDs.

I am so happy I bought this DVD. Two movies for the price of one!
