So I wasn't expecting much when I first heard about this show, but I kept an open mind and checked it out when it premiered. Man, am I glad I did!! It's hilarious!! And if you're a true Trek fan, you'll love all the subtle (and not so subtle) references and callbacks to every Trek series that came before. If you've watched any of the Star Trek series, understand that we've typically only seen the "upper management" that runs everything. "ST: Lower Decks" shows the backbone of the ships. The crew that does the dirty work. The ones that pick up the garbage. The ones that count the inventory. The ones that have to run the mind numbing diagnostics that ever system needs on a routine basis. They're the blue-collar workers that keep the machine oiled and running (most times, lol) So yea, if you like Trek, even just a little, and want a good laugh, check out "Star Trek: Lower Decks". My teenage son loved it, and he refuses to watch any of the "real" Trek series, but he not only watches this, he actually looks forward to it!

Lower Decks is a fantastic show for longtime fans of Star Trek. It's full of deep cut references for fans who've watched the older shows dozens of times and it's got some great humor (though it does miss at times too) to enjoy in each beautifully animated half-hour episode. You can tell the special features had to be put together during the Pandemic. Strange time capsule that part. I hugely recommend this show for die hard Trekkies. Though, I don't know that casual Trek fans will get that much out of this series.

Star Trek: Lower Decks is the first half hour animated tv show from the ST universe since the Animated Adventures back in 1973-74 and it is a comedy, with drama. The new CBS Star Trek shows go places with cussing and sex and violence that never would have happened with older shows and Lower Decks is no exception to the new rules. 10 episodes and 2 hours of extras. Check it out.

Star Trek as a comedy sounds weird but it works. It's not trying to parody itself or take itself seriously. There were many hilarious moments throughout the season 1. The show was created by one of the show runners from Rick and Morty and some of that humor finds itself on this show! The artwork on the steelbook is top quality.

Love this series of Star Trek, It's like the Orville but animated. It is funny as hell, and they are not has refined as your regular Star Trek series'. I do like how the refer back to the older series and had some guest appearances.

First off, I'm not a fan of Discovery and haven't tried Picard yet, but watched every other Star Trek series. After you get through the hectic pacing and initially annoying characters, it's a lot of fun. It makes fun of ST without being disrespectful and is a great addition. It has a great ST vibe.

As Star Trek Discovery continues in season 3 to be grim, confused, and trying to keep ticking fans off in one way or another, comes the second star trek animated show, and this one is all about the comedy. Based off the one TNG episode, loosely, and developed by Rick and Morty creative team members comes this breath of fresh air. At least for season 1

This is a great television program and it's perfectly presented in this steel book. Awesome artwork inside and out. Love these steel books in general and this one is a prime example. This set has some nice extra features that aren't available on the streaming service.

A fun series that takes Trek humor beyond. Star Trek has always had some sort of humor running throughout all of the series and films. It's great that Lower Decks takes it up a notch.

Fun show. There are enough inside jokes for longtime fans but it may also be a good entry way for very young fans. The plots move quickly and it is colorful. There is a lesson in most episodes.

First Trek thing I've absolutely loved. Even if some of the jokes go over my head, it's a great series.

I heard this is the least disappointing of the new Star Trek series, so I thought I'd give it a try. I can't compare it to the other show, since I don't subscribe to the service, but on it's own, it's pretty good. There are a lot, and I mean a lot of callbacks to the TOS, TAS and TNG era shows. It gets a bit tedious after a while. It's... good. Although if I'd paid attention, and noticed there were only 10 episodes, I probably would have skipped it.
