I was using a Lenovo USB 3.0 Dock for the last three years, but the two USB 3.0 front ports began failing. After shopping around the StarTech USB 3.0 was just what I needed to attach my VGA monitor (1680 x 1050), external backup drive, Ethernet, phone, and Logitech USB headphones with mic. Since the StarTech uses DisplayLink technology just as the older Lenovo, the software driver was the same. Pros: * The device was fully complete in the box with various power plugs and DVI to HDMI and a DVI to VGA converters. * It's well constructed, and I prefer the Aluminum housing and stand over the plastic construction of the older USB 3.0 Dock from Lenovo. * I opted for regular ground shipping, and since it left a warehouse in central PA, I had it in my hands the very next day in NJ at no extra charge. * Another nice feature is the USB 3.0 ports supply power. That's handy. * It was on sale in December 2016 which made it a great deal. Cons: Can't find any. It worked the first time I hooked it all up. I did have to hit the Auto Video Adjust on the monitor to sync it with the new hardware and eliminate a flicker.

I use this on my Windows laptop and MacBook Pro. Just get the drivers installed and you’re off and running. The only downside side are the connectors. I had to get a specific DVI adapter so that I could use HDMI to DVI because my monitors only have DIsplayPort and VGA. Connectors or the dock are DVI to HDMI and VGA. Other than that, it works seemlessly.

Nice docking station and has enough ports for various devices which allows for charging phones running an hdmi cable to a monitor, etc. Works as intended!

This unit is great! I use it at work to connect my laptop to a large monitor, my wired ethernet, webcam, external speakers, and all my peripherals. So fast and easy, just one cable, and everything is connected..! Plus it has fast charging USB plugs on the front of it that I use to charge my phone. This device is great for someone like me who is always having to switch their workspace from portable to desk.

We both work with dual monitors at work. This fancy adapter allows our work and home laptops to go to our dual monitors at home. Only catch is that it needs to have a usb 3.0 port, but it has been awesome.

i love the small size and works great to be able to have multiple monitors - makes working from home much more palatable.

Bought this a while back and has not let me down. Easy setup and all around great docking station.

I am working with at least 6 monitors and laptops. This particular dock supports 2 additional monitors. Setup was fast and easy but most remarkable is the quality of the two displays it is driving. Absolutely no flicker, dimming or other abnormalities. My only issue now is that I need a dock that can drive at least 4 displays.

Has a lot of usb ports, & can connect to 2 separate monitors

I am using this with an Apple MacBook Pro 154.4 Retina Display model MJLQ2LL/A that is setup to with boot camp. It is loaded with OSX Sierra & Windows 10 Professional. I have 2 AOC 21.5" IPS LED HD Monitors (I2269VW) connected via DVI ports. I also an Epson Scanner, and 1 TB USB 3.0 Hard Drive hooked up. So far works great. I am using the beta drivers for OSX from http://www.displaylink.com/ since Sierra is not yet officially supported but I am not having any issues. Using production drivers for Windows from same site. This setup is finally letting me ditch my desktop and go to a single machine with multi monitors.

I have had this docking station for over 2 weeks now and it works as advertised. Setup was very simple and easy to complete. I downloaded the latest version of the drivers from StarTech's website and once installed it was plug and play.

Using this as a virtual solo immigration attorney in my home office. This item is great and works how I need to. I had a cheap knockoff from amazon prior to this one and this is definitely worth the extra cost

This docking station is small and very useful. Great for multiple monitors and additional USB ports.

I purchased a new computer and needed a docking station to handle my two monitors plus my other devices. This docking station has been perfect for my needs and handles both of my monitors flawlessly as well as my other devices.

Really liked this product, this is the second dockstation we have purchased from Startech. This was majorily purchased to set up dual monitor laptop setup. Happy with the usage of the product.

I have not had any problems with the docking station.

Sleek and compact with a LOT of connection points so you can connect everything you have and still have a port to hook in your thumb drive.

The price was good and set up was easy. Customer service for StarTech was excellent. I really don't want to work more but now it will be more convenient.

Plug and play ease of use. Well manufactured as well. A good choice for those looking to do dual monitors.
