I first used this product to house my new SSD so that I could clone my laptop hard drive to the SSD. Then I put the SSD into the laptop and put the hard drive into this enclosure. I can now use the old hard drive ad an external backup drive.

This is my first external solid-state drive enclosure. I cannot say enough good things about it. It fit my western digital easy drive perfectly. I do wonder about the proprietary USB C cable but that shouldn’t be a problem unless you’re really hard on your cables. I reformatted my WD Solid State drive that I was using in my Windows PC when I transitioned to Apple MacBook Air. That saved me a lot of money.

7MM Drives do not fit perfect in this enclosure. You will need to use the included foam strip to keep it from rattle. Good throughput on enclosure.

Nice enclosure, supports UASP. Tabs are a little flimsy, I wouldn't want to use this if I was expecting to swap drives frequently. Nice little feet, I wish it included a type A connector.

Does what it is supposed to do. Above average quality. Good transfer speeds on USB 3.2 gen 2 ports.

The best news is that it assembles and works as represented. It just takes minutes to unwrap it from the box, slide the top open, plug in the hard disc with vibration dampening end bumper ( provided), slide the enclosure top closed, plug the provided cable into the enclosure and computer interface, done! No tools required or used. I highly recommend this product to give your hard disc drive or solid state drive a new life.

Easy plug and play wish the drive would sit flat and not move when installed but looks like that’s the design of it

Bought this to house the internal HDD from my laptop after upgrading it's storage to a SSD. SATA interface accommodates any internal drive with that connector type to turn it into an external drive. Fast USB-C 3.1 connector for fast data access via USB-C 3.1 type blazing fast interface.

I used it to save the data on my old lap top that died on me. Insert the drive and plug it in and every thing was there to use.

Convenient when you need to recover data from a M.2 form factor SSD I have used a few times since purchasing without issue.

My last laptop broke after many hours of operation; never the less, this casing was the best fit to retrieve the old data and work. The installation is fairly easy, with no need to use screwdrivers. It uses USB 3.0, which gives high transfer data rates. The case is very sleek, well finished and it does pay the price Overall very satisfied with the HDD case.

Used this item to clone a new sata replacement. Worked perfectly, and as a bonus the old drive fit right into it.

Works ok, but didn't have the right usb port had to buy correct usb cable to use

This enclosure is lightning fast. I use it to house the SSD from my previous MacBook Pro that is now being used as the backup drive for my new one. Backups are completed in mere minutes. For the price, it is absolutely outstanding.

Works as advertised and gives protection and portability to my external drive. Definitely recommend.
